I believe that the reason wetlook is a universal phenomenon is because it is just plain sexy. Wet clothes show a woman's curves and underthings which were never meant to be seen. Being wet itself has sexual connotations, and it is often spontaneous, or least we like it to be. We enjoy it more when someone accidentally falls into water fully clothed or accidentally gets wet somehow. We know it steals the privacy of a woman and we hope it happens right in front of us.

Then there are people like me, and I assume everyone reading this blog feels the same. We are wetlook enthusiasts who try our best to create a similar scenario. We buy clothes specifically for getting wet in. We plan what clothes we will wear, picking them out specifically for the way they look or feel as they get wet or after they are wet. We have closets and drawers full of those very special items and we take the time to set an outfit aside just waiting for the right opportunity. LIKE RAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is obvious to me that I get wet for three very specific reasons: when I want to feel sexy; when I am feeling a little bit decadent; and when I want to relax and unwind. Let's break this down a bit.

Sexy. Who doesn't want to feel sexy? I used to spend all day in a business suit or office outfit that I specifically bought and wore because I felt that I looked good in it. Wetlook takes that idea to a higher level. I knew that all day, everywhere I went and everyone that saw me, especially men, were hoping and wishing that they could see more than I showed them. And once in a while, I would "accidentally" show a little more leg, let my slip show, or even my stocking tops. I knew when my garters were showing through my skirt or when my slip was peeking out of my blouse. That is a powerful feeling!

Then I got home and often went straight into the shower or a tub, turned on the water, and with no one at all looking other than those phantom voyeurs, I would slowly get my clothes wet in front of imaginary people. I saw what they wanted to see... my clothes hugging my skin, my garters popping through my dress, a bra, slip or camisole showing through my blouse, and that shine! That mesmerizing, glistening signal that lets me know that sexy just got sexier, that tight just got tighter, and that clothing just went transparent.

I don't necessarily get turned on when I witness these things on my own body, but I know what others would think, and that makes it sexy to me. Then there are the times that I share wetlook with others, and simply put, then I KNOW it is sexy! I have seen the reactions of people for decades. They get turned on if I walk into a lake on a crowded beach with a sundress on and walk out again. I have had dozens of lovers, partners, and close friends that I have shared this with and I see their eyes pop when I step into a shower with a camisole, garters, stockings, and heels on. It drives them crazy. It's one thing to tell someone what's under that dress, it's quite another to show them without getting naked. It is such a tease lol!

If you have not perfected the art of stripping seductively for your partner, and who among us has, all you have to do is what you do every day dress yourself and get wet, just both at the same time. There, you have perfected the strip tease! Go ahead and feel sexy!

Another reason I get wet fully clothed is for that feeling of decadence and I am certainly not the only one who feels this way. Again, it is universal. Everyone has seen the commercials and everyone has felt at one time or another the urge to just jump in that water or run out in the rain! Go ahead! Do it! But decorum and not destroying your best clothes keeps you from doing it. We wetlookers know better don't we? Clothes dry, so do shoes, you have to do laundry anyway, and there is always the dry cleaners for those expensive skirts, dresses, and jackets.

If anyone ever visited my house, they would find leather heels over heating vents, clothes hanging from curtain rods, lingerie hanging in showers, and garters and stockings on the backs of chairs. I got over that "what am I going to do with all these wet clothes?" feeling in the '80's while in the military soaking my uniforms... it's easily handled.

I get very excited when I know that I am going to soak an expensive silk lined skirt that I only wear to the symphony or plays, or a very expensive skirt suit, or that special silk lined dress I only wear to special events. It's that feeling of decadence, that feeling of doing what you are not supposed to do, that feeling of spontaneous self-indulgence akin to eating half a cake when one slice will do, or an entire pint of ice cream when a third will do.

I wear camisoles and slips to bed every night, the length and thickness depending on the time of year. Once every 3 or 4 days, I step into the shower in the morning, wash my hair, body and lingerie, hang the lingerie up on the shower handle, and wear it again that night for another few days. It's one thing to wear a simple camisole in the shower, it's quite another to wear your most expensive business suit complete with a silk blouse, bra, slip, garters, stockings and heels into a garden tub and soak for an hour. It's just decadent!

You see it change color and hug your form, you feel how heavy it is and that reinforces that decadent feeling. It weighs a ton, and that in itself, the added weight of the water in the clothes, just lets you know that you are doing something decadent. The more clothes the better, just like chocolate cake is better with a layer of chocolate mouse and chocolate cream with chocolate icing and chocolate sprinkles and slivers! Pile it on, make it your best, and soak it until you feel that pleasure. It's just so wrong to fully dress in the shower, and that in itself makes it so very right!

And finally, I do it because it relaxes me more than anything I have ever found. I think this is my reality for several reasons: it brings me back to that time in my youth were I first discovered that special feeling of clothes drying as I ran and played; of those first times where I felt my clothes hug my body as if I was wrapped in a blanket or in my mother's arms; that first time when I ran water over clothing and saw my private parts appear that were many years from having a purpose. How can these feelings NOT be relaxing?

On top of all that, it's a warm shower where you wash the day away, it's a warm tub where a glass of wine and your favorite music is just a reach away, and it's a perfect way to start or end the day. Soaking your clothes, one piece or a dozen, is sexy, decadent and relaxing, sometimes, all at the same time.

Wetlook serves a great purpose in my life. It is more than a sexual fetish. It makes me feel powerful, confident, sexy, sensual, warm and loved, and decadent and spontaneous. It thrills me and relaxes me at the same time, and there is not a drug in the world that can do any better. And all I have to do is a little laundry lol!
