Originally indented as an easy-to-use hands-free action camera, but Ive fund a much better use for it. Until I get this, I was recording my sessions on my phones camera, which is ok until you want to stand back and do a twirl in your sexy dress, having nowhere to put it was very limiting, and one day I accidentally tapped the screen while placing it down and my session when unrecorded. :-(
The Contour+2 has full HD (1080p) recording capability including photo capture , I get crisp, clear image, 120fps at 480p, 30 and 60fps at 720p and 30fps at 1080p, so I can also do super slow motion videos of custard running down my blouses, the camera will operate for up to 2.5 hours and is charged via USB. This model is compatible with SDSC microSD Cards up to a capacity of 2GB and SDHC microSD Cards up to a maximum capacity of 32GB.
The version I got came with the optional protective waterproof case which is rated to 60 metres. I can put this is places you would never dream of with any other camera and Im looking forward to employing all the new angles. I just uploaded a session with loads of custard, well a shower of custard - I get covered in custard, and this was at my feet looking all most up my skirt and ended up in a pool of custard, I just ran the while thing under the shower and all was well.
The camvera has a rotating lens, so you can mount is anywhere and still get the right aspect ratio, it has a microphone, HDMI output and a handy in-built laser line while is great for estimating views. The Contour+2 also allows you to use your phone as view finder via Bluetooth and a mobile app and allows changes to settings like resolution, frame rate and while balance. I can line everything up in real time, change the settings, so no more test record, view result, put it back only to find later that I didn't stand in the same place and or I miss placed the camera.
The only negative is that it has a wide angle of view and I want close up shots, so things get a bit distorted. However I can hold it in me hand and still get a reasonable view of myself.
