After a while she excused herself from the buzz in the science lab, returning to her own office to go over her own survey data and complete her report as expedition team leader, quickly finishing it and sending it off to Enrico and to Janet, relaxing back in her chair checking the ground samples and survey data for anything noteworthy then made herself a coffee, the powdered milk not tasting great but it was better than nothing and drinkable, watching her little dinosaurs as she fed them on her screens, as Janet poked her head in her door then quietly entered grabbing a chair and sat close to her taking her hand, watching her screens with her in silence. Carla got up and made her a coffee then resumed her seat, typing notes under each of the images describing the events of each shot and the behaviour of the animals as she fed them, then saved them to her journal files, sending the updates to Ellie, her final paper of the year hopefully scoring well, with a long way to go before it was finished.
