So, fresh from the GungeTankGirls 50th update special (which was a *bit* of a last-minute rush as I only noticed we were on update 49 the day before the next shoot was planned....), it's safe to say it's been a bit of a busy past few weeks in the studio and it's about to get an awful lot busier! We've had Katy and Rebecca-Jane in shooting their JustPied, JustSlimed and JustDunked updates, and because the weather has been sooooooo rubbish this month we had to cancel Ali and Lauren's outdoor Proper Messy shoots one day and pie and slime them both lots instead.....good news is that we *did* get them back outside later that same week to do the outdoor stuff too!

The 'Just' sites are ticking over nicely now (we got loads of JustDunked updates shot when we last filmed TopGunge so they are queued up ready to go online...) The pie and slime updates are harder to organise and film, so they will probably come out at a slower rate - basically whenever we can get the girls and the ingredients organised on the same day!

But the Big News is that we've just confirmed times and dates to shoot the next few episodes of TopGunge! After 18 episodes in 2009 and 2010 we've deliberately chosen to slow down the updates this year...but as we're changing studio locations towards the end of this year it's time to crank it back up - I thought it might be fun to go through some of the numbers, so you can see how much work goes on behind the scenes to make the show!

(In these episodes...) 15 girls star in hour-long episodes....for most of the recent one's it's filmed "as live" - in that (apart from cuts between the five parts), most of the action happens in one take - well, with gungings galore, resetting and starting again isn't really an option! However we have thought about bringing back the "Top Gunge Interludes" too - the messy bits we film with the girls we like who can't be there during the main filming......we'll have to see how we go though!

Also making a welcome return will be the 'Gunge Bowl' - this holds over 1700 litres of gunge (yellow we think at the moment!) - which is a lot of gunge - by comparison it's approximately 10 to 12 bathfulls and can take four of us around 5 hours to mix.

The first episode being shot is the Halloween special, so Lisa is busy organising girls and fancy-dress costumes....I wish her luck as that's one of the hardest tasks of the whole show! She'll be happy when she can pull on her costume and get in front of the cameras and start hosting!
