Sunday morning and the sun is shining, the wonderful thing about living in the sun is the great feeling you get when you wake up in the morning. Even when nursing a little bit of a hang over.

Last night saw the launch party go off with a bang, as of today it is eat, sleep, drink The Closed Case, not that it has not been like that up to now. All the pre production has been nearly been done, and it is now time to re visit locations and send out the scripts to the cast and a whole load more.

We still have three castings to do, and finding these particular members of the cast is going to be especially difficult, mainly because of the scenes they are appearing in and of course the remote location this aspect of the film is being shot in, the villa we are shooting at has spectacular views, but remote it is.

With only twelve days left on the campaign on Indiegogo and only five dollars raised for those that dont know what I am talking about here is a little biog .........

Marielle and Chris Karlman have been together for the past five years and together they have developed the concept of Pure Passion Films the developers of The Closed Case and The Pure Brand a collective of web sites aimed at the combined market of eroticism and film noir through their own definitive style of film making. Andrew Ross joined the partnership nearly a year and half ago from leaving Silicon Valley in the USA and having been one of the youngest IT directors. Andrew now heads up the IT department that will be developing the web presence and web marketing of the film and The Pure Brand.
So what is the film Erotica market and why would we consider making a feature film for this sector.

Are we talking pornography, no we are not? That is something we would like to make very clear.

Recently the film noir look has been touching our mainstream screens for the past few years, erotic scenes in films have been on the increase and yet there is no margin in between main stream and pornographic films, which although has its market to most find unacceptable especially to watch with ones partner.

Thomas Langamns The Artist did extremely well at the Oscars this year even though it was silent and black and white. Could this mean that there is a change ahead for viewing demands?

Pure Passion Films is developing the book The Closed Case (not published yet) into an erotic film, the book was written by a best selling author. The companys skills set is more than capable of delivering a truly unique production that will be submitted to many of the erotic film festivals around the world.

We require the $25,000 for additional equipment and IT and to pay the crew, cast and makeup.

Where will you be able to get the film

Preordered DVDs will be available on the films web site. We have already taken an order from a wholeselller for 5,000 copies of the DVD so a good start there.

Itunes of course, the perfect place to sell films. We are in discussions with a number of other net-based distributors.

Global distribution through various chains of retail outlets. One UK high street retailer has in principle agreed to stock the film already and we are in talks with another from the USA.

So by the time release date is here, we should have a good distribution arm for the film, created form our own offices and experiences.

This is a film where you really do have to think out of the box.

We would like you to consider something for one minute, There is two very well known brands thats have gone on to make themselves a household name, Anne Summers in the UK which is the largest sex shop on the main high street and has achieved this though very select marketing and discretion, the chain of stores has made the unacceptable acceptable. Now Victoria Secrets that has used glamorous lingerie wearing female stars again promoted heavily all over the USA in magazines and billboards. Two extremes of how the general public acceptance has changed the face of what used to be whispered about.

Now consider a film on mainstream release like Nine and Half Weeks, where there is a certain sequence that most talked about and consider the hard pornographic films that bombard the Internet and our homes. What if there was something in the middle that was beautifully shot, extremely compelling and a well-told story, yet was arousing and sensual. Making the unacceptable acceptable.

The Closed Case Synopsis.

The bond between partners is one that should be on the out set a very strong one, but what if there is secret desires that either partner finds difficult to discuss with the other, what if that partner is harboring a secret passion and wishes to share those passions and desires.

Could this be the basis of many a relationship failures today.

The Closed Case explores this perception and consideration. The film is a fusion of two minds in an exchange of ideas and fantasies that develops stories with in the story. Yet what is fantasy and what is reality !

This journey of discovery opens up the world of communicating with your partner and possibilities of communication through roles play and fantasy, could this film be the start of a talking point between couples, can the use of media actual be used in this sense to open up the minds of couples no matter what their sexual orientation. Can we prove that we dont need pornography to stimulate the mind, but beautifully well-presented stimulating imagery can.

We are very short of the twenty five thousand dollars required to make this film, so are we going to go down to the wire as I have done on a few projects, I guess so, but the project will go ahead. One project I worked on a few years ago was funded the morning we were due to collect the rental cameras, I guess thats what makes a producer, taking things to the edge. I have even put my house up once as collateral, could have lost the lot, but as luck would have it the project went on to make a good profit. Whats more I would risk putting my whole family on the streets for this film, so it will go ahead no matter what., and my wife is behind me one hundred percent.

Interesting that we should have heard some negative feedback from people on forums and chat rooms around the net, my answer to those hoping we are going to fail

I have taken orders now for the DVD, for both the UK and the USA, Itunes will be stocking the film and album, and we have a single being written at the moment to be released along side the film, the writer of the film is a best selling author and he has agreed to release the book and his publishers have accepted the publishing deal, with publishing rights already sold in seven countries, we have been accepted in all of the Erotic film festivals for 2012 and 2013 around the world and we have also been accepted to many of the independent film festivals.

So I guess we have limited the chances of failure and we have only just started, there is a lot more we can do regarding distribution on the net, apps for phones and general web development, well thats the bonus of having a respected industry professional straight from Silicon Valley as a business partner, the web is our playground.

What does all this mean.

Well if the film does well then we will be moving on to produce the next film Split Deceit and putting that into production almost straight away.

How is Marielle .

She is doing very well, learning lines, walking through scenes and about to start her fitness program so she is looking good for the film, the whole family has become involved and it a wonderful feeling to see how from one house so much can be generated. New Films for PWM & UMD Downloads

This week the rehearsal on a few scenes start and I shall be filming them, so we may well have some new pics floating about of Marielle in silk lingerie in the shower and I want to shoot a few films for the Pure Wet & Messy web site this week so looking forward to that and there is a few to edit so the site will be getting some stunning new films and of course we have the new models coming on board very soon.

I have been asked by a few members on UMD (the ultimate messy directory) www.umd.net when I am going to shoot a new film for Marielles UMD download store, well dont worry it is on my schedule and I have some good ideas on how the films will be shot and edited. Tony from the good old USA, dont worry your special request has been accepted and we will be shooting that very soon, looking forward to shooting it as well?


Well it has been a short blog, this time around but I wanted to keep everyone updated, as the time gets more and more limited with the hectic schedule we are now on.
