Discovering mudBy PleaserbootsboyPosted 12/21/24 173 views
After spending a few years scouting around for a good quality mud spot I decided to just do it at home in the back garden.
After spending a better part of the day cooped up indoors with the air con on, once the sun started to set, I decided to get to work gardening. Dressing up in my wet look dress, leggings and my cheapest pair of heels I started by watering the garden, then getting down on my hands and knees to do some weeding. I did the watering first deliberately.
My knees squelched as the met the damp topsoil. A giant weed was strangling one of my native trees, so I pulled so hard on it that I fell backward into the soggy ground. I could feel the water soak in and as I got up into a kneeling position, I felt the mud sticking to my back, loose chunks falling down on to the back of my heels.
Grappling the hose and reeling in the sprinkler I crawled along the muddy ground to get into the garden bed's far corner, here a sizeable dry spot was, clean and clear I sat and found the area to be tight, but well enough for room to sit and awkwardly lay down.
Tomorrow, I start digging and watering. And see if instead of my wet look clothes, how my PVC ones go. Also to give me heels another opportunity to get caked in mud.
So, mudding in the garden. The obvious risk to health is the insects and plants. I did check with the gardener and there is nothing in there that they have put down that is toxic and poisonous to humans. I'll be cautious, nonetheless.
Notes: Perhaps the pair of pleasers that were ruined during the paint attack could be used one last time to get properly muddy and ruined.
I am worried about ruining my PVC/Vinyl. ASOS no longer makes the form fitting vinyl leggings, or at least they are out of season. I cherish even my old pairs since I have reproposed them for my wet look sessions when I go fully clothed wading.
Potentially a hidden bonus to exposing myself to mud and dirt is in regard to an upside for my health. If I get sick, and I survive the dirt could help boost my immune system a lot, a fear of dirt is something that I do have as well so getting up close, ankle deep in mud might also help me overcome my fear of dirt.
Or make it worse? Could happen. Flying in an aeroplane was supposed to help "cure" my fear of heights. That didn't work as I have a fear of flying. Whoopsie doodle on that one.
Not going to say it. For when I do it happens. Free healthcare or not.
