In 2014 I was living in Lancaster ( North West England ) and after a week of work I just needed to relax and often went out walking, this one Saturday afternoon i found myself walking down this old dirt track and I found this old semi overgrown wooden jetty that went out towards a silted up muddy area just off the main river, the mud was so soft and sticky oh it was heaven around 5ft deep and you could swim through it like being in cream.

Well on my third of fourth visit there, I stripped down to a pair of swimming trunks and bagged my clothes and stored them under the jetty and slipped into the mud, it was peaceful and so relaxing, there are folk in London who pay money for this I thought, around twenty minutes later I heard someone coming down the jetty so with a deep breath I went under - I waited and then slowly came up, I wasn't fully visitable but my eyes met this dog looking down at me and standing next to the dog was this middle aged woman smoking a cigarette.

The dog made this low growl noise and the women looked at the dog then her eyes caught mine! she froze staring at my eyes, shocked and unsure what she was looking at as I took a breath in and slipped under the mud again and slowly slipped my way under the jetty so she didn't see or notice me and while I waited for her to leave I got out and quickly got out and washed in a near by farm water feeding tank.

I later heard in the local cafe she wet back with someone and found muddy foot prints but nothing else, needless to say rumors started of a muddy bog monster or some weirdo with a fetish for mud, most folk laughed it off saying who ever it was wasn't doing any harm to anyone and yet this women wouldn't let it go she had the council remove the jetty on safety grounds.

I waited a few months and before I left Lancaster I slipped into the mud one last time, only clothed and wanting to experience it once more the funny thing was having climbed out my change of clothes were in the car boot a 3 minute walk away I walked back up this track past a 30 year old lad who smiled and say its you! shhhh! I said don't spoil the rumors.
