Ok, my bad, I forgot I left the behind-the-scenes blog hanging in mid-air halfway through Episode Five of You Can't Do That! Completely my fault!

So I'm guessing that, due to the delay writing this, most people who will see it have already seen it...you'll have seen the bits I've already blogged about...once these shoots were done we pulled down the 'Pie Factory', built the rest of the 'link set' and got ready for an evening filming the last segments of the episode!

The favourite aspect of all of the 'production team' (aka Leon, Lisa and myself) was the fact that Steffi was coming back! Director Steffi as she's more formally known was a key character in the early episodes of YCDTOTI. However her day-job and her location means it's harder to get her to the studio at the moment so this was a big effort by both us and her! In honour of the effort, we decided to write an episode that broke the element of her character that she loved the most!

In the past, whenever Steffi has said "pie", "slime" or "water", the hostess normally gets that particular forfeit! That was the key benefit to her role as Director! But given that hostess Ella is missing, suddenly Steffi gets the wet and messy treatment instead! So we were doubly glad to see Steffi come back! Firstly because she was back, and secondly because she was finally getting pied, slimed and soaked on the YCDTOTI set! As she joined Lisa, Lauren and Alice on the Link set for the first segment, there was green, yellow and red slime as well as plenty of pies and water flying around.....in the edited version we then scoot off to the Pie Factory and the Restaurant, but in filming we quickly cleaned the set and reset to film the Job Interviews...

Ali, Boo and Rebecca-Jane were the candidates for the role as new hostess....One by one they joined Steffi on the stage, but one by one they failed....one candidate got pied and watered, but Steffi still got the slime...one candidate got watered and slimed, but Steffi still got pied....finally she found the perfect hostess, where pies, slime and water are magically attracted away from her and over/onto the new hostess!
