So, it's just gone midnight on Saturday night......and what a day it's been! As promised, here comes a review of the weekend so far, and some top-secret preview pics!

First off, today's prep......had a great offer of help from Jonny of 'Messy Mayhem' fame, so he and I hit the studio at about noon today to mix the next 1200 litres (or so - we lost count after a bit) of gunge. Chris, one of our new Gunjee Guys also came down to help us out, and soon we had gunge mixed, messy-food ready, games set up, girls getting changed and were ready to film the TopGunge Halloween Special for 2011!

After a quick briefing with Lisa and the girls (basically just so we know who is playing which game and in what order), we were ready to start filming! First up was the messy trick-or-treat entry of all the girls - partly so we could see the fantastic costumes the girls were dressed up in (some preview pics attached, a much better one to follow....). I won't tell you which of the girls were unlucky enough to get gunged right at the start of the episode just yet though! Next up was a traditional Halloween game - apple bobbing (in gunge!), swiftly followed by a round of the 'Gunge Bowl' and then a great round of the 'Gunge Booth'....once things get going it mostly happens 'as live, so we've been going about 50 mins at this point and have shot about 35-40 mins of footage so far

The final game (and I must say it was my favourite) was Jazz and Lola playing the nice/nasty food game - we had a wide variety of foodstuff, some sweet and nice, some savoury and nasty......we had them guess just by touch what each one was, and the loser each time got that particular food tipped over them.....in no particular order, mayonnaise, baked beans butterscotch sauce, spaghetti hoops, custard and a few others resulted in a great (and very gooey) game!

After all this it's the end of the episode! Biggest problem now is we have 15 girls and just two showers (so there is a bit of a queue!) The girls who are last in the queue (those with no food and who got gunged last) tend to hang around in the gunge bowl to keep warm, which is why there's footage of them mucking around in there at the end of this and other TopGunge episodes....

...and now I'm very tired, very achy and ready for bed - in a nutshell, after all that we cleaned the studio, removed the decor and filmed a whole other episode (an office-wear special), but I think I will tell the story of that another night...in the meantime, here are some sneaky preview pics of the Halloween episode (which will be online mid-October), but more blogs coming soon!
