I managed to get myself in a bit of a mess taking a shortcut across a very muddy field recently. I knew it would be muddy, but I couldn't resist having a bit of fun! I was wearing my smart brown brogue-style lace-ups and some beautiful nautical socks. It was far muddier than I thought it would be actually and so thick and sticky that my cool shoes were actually sucked off my feet at one stage! I had an unexpected, but very nice squelch in the mud in just my socks. It always feels so weird when you sink in mud in your socks, but I really love it!
