Thanks for the warning! Most of the groups I belong to are choked with spam now, but that was probably the first place I ever saw WAM pictures/video online, or even talked to other people about WAM.
Some of the pictures have been reposted elsewhere (WAM nostalgia!) but I'll have to check them out before they are all deleted. Ironically, I just logged into these groups a few weeks ago for the first time in ages.
In the great scheme of things, I guess it barely matters as most people no longer use them, but there is a huge amount of material there that isn't available elsewhere. Sadly, it's difficult to transfer some of it here as it's impossible to know when you're treading on someone's toes and posting stuff belonging to people on UMD.
End of an era! Yahoo Groups was also one of the first places where I discovered WAM content geared towards WAM fetishists and what a revelation it was.
There was that other thread last week about downloading pics and vids on dial-up; I definitely remember not only waiting forever but also hoping not to squander one of the few daily downloads you were allotted on Yahoo Groups on something lame!
Cheers to those early clip uploaders and community organizers, thanks to you, I came of age with this fetish feeling a lot less lonely and strange.
Let's also all take a minute to remember the Yahoo Group drama as well, e.g. the epic Lovingway vs Marty Penn feud. What was that all about? To this day I've no clue.

I second this...I never knew what that was all about or what it involved or any of that

Yahoo groups was always a dumpster fire. Sort of glad it's finally died a death. I found my first fetish communities there back in the day, so I'm in debt to all those who posted!
Just incase anyone seeing this was ever a member of the Muddy Boots & Rainwear group, I'll alway be on the lookout for any of the pictures post on there by Simon Avery if anyone has any saved?
I have all the groups I joined saved in a Yahoo groups folder. Must try and save some pics if I can. When I first got the internet they were a great source of my fetish content.
Other than wam I joined several other groups with dungarees and corduroy content, both male and female.
JaMC said: I thought they were long dead already. Many years ago I established a group called "Messy Asian Honeys" and for a while used it as a storage around for things I would find on the internet. Back then, maybe late 90s, there was a series of Japanese videos where girls got messy called " Nightmare of Trainer" they had interesting box covers. There was also a series of videos involving lots of fake cum called "Semen Club".
One day, it appeared that somebody had hacked the group and I couldn't sign in and they were in control. It soon became a dumping ground for general pornography.
There used to be an early messy model calling herself "Sushi" (she had a very large dragon tattoo on her back) I had some from her and various odd ball finds..
I can't say I miss it much, the quality of material has improved so dramatically, but I remember the time being perturbed that someone had taken over "my" group.
There may have been a way to resolve it, but I wasn't that interested or that internet savvy. The only regret is that some of that stuff has probably been lost.
Messy Asian Honeys was the first WAM group I ever joined! Thanks for the messy memories

I remember another Yahoo group owner that used to have a tantrum, delete all the content and then pretend that they'd been hacked, happy memories
I was in the midst of moving some of my photosets to a Yahoo Group that I recently created because my next photoset that I am working on is going to be a monster!!
Sure enough, a couple of days ago, I saw the notice from Yahoo Groups that they are shutting down.
I'll have to find someplace else for my older photosets.
I remember some of the WAM Yahoo Groups like piesinthefaceofwomen.
The UMD and the Yahoo groups was the first time that I discovered wam, it's been 21 years, time does sure fly. I haven't been on Yahoo groups for a while, thanks for the heads up.
