Like most of you its always been a dream of mine ever since I was a kid to be placed in a gunge tank and on some messy gameshow somewhere unfortunately that never happened. Now I'm 30 and as I'm sure you can all agree its been a rough year so I've decided to finally live one of my bucket list dreams and treat myself to a shot in a gunge tank
Fortunatly their seems to be a lot of options out there MostWam, Messyword, Quizbob, Splat Show and Broardcastthistv amongst others was just wondering if anyone had any experiences with these companies and how they found it any feedback would be apriciated
It was a great experience, and I highly recommend it. However, on its own it's also quite a short experience; maybe 30 seconds for the actual gunging, plus a bit longer when Leon was using the squeegee broom thing. Then another few minutes for the hose down. If you watch other videos by each producer, you can see how long it takes.
In my case, that wasn't a problem, because it was part of a larger event. E.g. at the 20th anniversary party, there were several live shows, then people could queue up to try the various activities (dunk tank, gunge tank, gunge bath, pie in the face, mud wrestling). So, it was a bit like going to a theme park: even if each rollercoaster only lasts for a few minutes, you can go on several during the day. Similarly, my session with Sky took about 2 hours: that included the pie game, 2 goes in the tank, and clean-up.
I think this might also depend on how far you have to travel. E.g. if you live round the corner from the studio, you could pop in for 10 minutes during your lunch break. On the other hand, if it's a 5 hour drive for 5 minutes of activity, would that feel like a wasted trip?
The simplest solution would be to combine this with something else. However, I assume that most sessions are going to be on hold until post-pandemic. It's plausible to pull the chain on a gunge tank or hose someone off while social distancing, but it's less practical to pie someone. I certainly hope to pay a return visit to MostWAM when it's safe to do so.

My plan would be to combine my visit with a trip down to the south of England obviously staying covid safe. The party sounded fun but i'm to shy for large groups of wammers and i had work commitments was more interested to see your positive feedback for your private session with Sky sounds awsome hopfully i can arrange somthing similar

Unfortunately I don't think we will be offering sessions again, well not for a while anyways.
Good luck in your search Dino.

Thanks Lisa
Sorry to here you've stopped doing sessions for the moment If you ever if you ever start to offer them again send me a message and I'll be sure to pop in for a visit.
Good luck with your business in the future and keep up the good work gunging all those peaple
There are hire companies though and models who I think have gunge booths who do sessions as well. I think someone told me there was an entire website dedicated to it.
However, those people don't all have tanks, so it depends how important that is as part of the experience. I.e. would a bucket of gunge poured over your head would be good enough, or do you specifically want the "shower cubicle" effect?
Without wishing to state the obvious, don't forget to check when the people listed on Candy's website were last active on umd, before you contact them on here. Any longer than six months ago, and you probably aren't going to get a reply.
I went in the Quizbob tank last year as a birthday treat, and can certainly recommend. I went for the single tank option but they do offer a full quiz experience with multiple tanks of gunge which looks fun. This was last autumn so all done with covid precautions in place - e.g. everyone wearing masks except when in the tank. It's a small-scale set up but 'Bob' is a friendly guy - Mrs Piechap came along to pull the cord to release the gunge, she was a bit nervous beforehand but he put her at her ease.
