Overall I thought this was a solid first episode. Looks like the monthly membership to this shows site is around $11/month and I thought that was about the right amount for an episode. I have no idea how often they'll upload new episodes so it's probably smarter to wait until there are more episode shows up, but I thought I'd support a new concept I like. (I was always a huge CM fan).
The first episode is an hour. Not sure if they just stop after one hour or if they have a set number of questions (which was about 24 or 25 questions). Pretty much what you see in the YT trailer is what you get. Each girl had to take a pie about 7 times and almost each time it was at least a double pie. The guys did decent giving the pies, doing a wrap around almost each time. There isn't no end game punishment, the game just ends. (Spoiler the guys won something like 14-11)
The show is a little slow paced but that would only matter if they are doing as many questions as they can in an hour, and not if there are a set number of questions.
The pie quality is about 8 out of 10 for me. 10 being the gooey 1st season CM pies. These pies are about season 2 CM pies but the girls look pretty messy afterwards as the melt. 90% of the pieing are double with a few triples.
My hopes for future episodes.... 1) obviously girls vs girls. 2) slightly sexier outfits but I don't mind casual. The girls' hotness make up for that. 3) maybe 2 or 3 sliming style punishments 4) for me the two tickling punishments are a waste of time but I know there is a niche for that. 5). Losing team maybe getting bombarded with pies at the end, or do the sliming at the end.
For a pilot, I thought this was a great effort. If there are one or two episodes a month, this is a decent membership. Hopefully you all can support this effort and we can have some sort of good CM show back on the interwebs.
Can confirm, was going to do a post but you beat me to it. for any pie show lover, please support the show, for something amateurish its pretty great. and it almost doesn't cost a thing. 11$ is really cheap.
when it comes to the show, the models are goergius, the video is in HD 1080p. like the guy above me said, the pies are a 8 outta 10 for me too. I hope they go to the early Chega mais formula.
the outfits are good for me (I love casual) I think they should have more contestants at least 2 more on each side. and add some kind of music in the background between the pies. it almost like being in a church (too silent)
I'm trying to get it but site is in Spanish, and has somehow blocked my bank card. Doh. Is there a way to translate the site to English? I'm not particularly tech savvy lol
the fact of the competitors have no frills make this show too much better than "Chega mais". ''Cega mais" competitors are so afraid of punishments that try to avoid pies and change the rules, this was began annoying. lets support Walking the plank. This is a really great show
Best of luck with this, but for now not being able to download content, the monthly subscription model and uncertainty on the follow up efforts will keep some from testing the waters here. Myself included, although I would also add you'd need an English webpage to help out with the majority of your potential audience.
Looks great, though. I haven't seen the actual product but there is a feeling here of it being much less of a UMD-WAM style producer video and having the air of being an authentic game show with mess -- that's hard to achieve and it adds a lot for me.
I hope things take off, you figure out a more accessible distribution model and you keep making plenty of new shows.
Even with the streaming only, I would say it's a great deal. And they've even reduced the price further! Honestly, it's there at the level of the best CM episodes, I admit I have a soft side for candid WAM gameshows like this.
And use chrome to translate stuff for you. It's not that hard to figure it out how to sign up for this...
