Here's the thing: The Japanese have embraced the "pie in the face" in mainstream culture for almost two decades now. We're talking everything from talk shows, game shows, comedy shows, music videos... To celebrities getting pied because it's "cool." In the early 2000s WAMTEC already had dozens of 2-hour DVDs with nothing but Japanese clips, and those numbers have only grown since.
So this is basically just the tip of the iceberg. The best stuff for me was the run of "Musicats" pies a few years back... It was like a weird reality-show beauty pageant that incorporated pies seemingly at random. And there's also a very cute female celeb whose "gimmick" is to periodically get nailed with a "pie cannon" in different (again random) locations.
A word of warning about posting clips too: It's tricky to tell legal age with Japanese women and I suspect some of those links feature minors. I'm 90% sure the "pie cannon" one does.
