Just wanting to see what everyones thoughts are if someone goes into the forest to mess with things like egg crustard etc rather than just mud, I'm questioning if I'm allowed to is all
It is not good for the environment! Where do you folks get your information from? You're adding microplastics to the environment as well as creating a nutrient-bacteria explosion. Sewage will biodegrade too but if you just pour a gallon or two of it on your front doorstep it might be around for a while.
Either you're doing this on public land which is bad for the environment and probably illegal or you're doing it on private land which is trespassing. Sorry to be the scold geezers
Trespass laws are different in Scotland than they are in the rest of the UK and the UK trespass laws are different to America ones.
Wild camping works on the principle of "leave no trace" as you can (within obvious moral boundaries) do whatever you want as long as you're not bothering anyone else. If no one ever knows that you were camping somewhere then it's completely fine and in my opinion you can apply the same logic to what you're asking.
So don't go leave mess behind and no one will ever have a problem with you going into the woods to get messy.
However if somewhere is easily accessible for you then it's easily accessible for anyone else so choose your location carefully.
I don't like the idea of hiking to a remote location, like one I would choose for wild camping, carrying lots of messy food supplies.
It's all simple enough if you're experienced with being out in remote countryside and understand the risks involved.
Suppose it depends what you mean by going into the forest. I'm envisioning remote Scottish countryside with nobody else around for miles and you might be meaning a patch of woodland that's just a few minutes walk from roads on well trodden footpaths.
So errrr I'm not sure how helpful any of that is in answering your question.
I've done this a few times, it's nice for a change! Using just basic degradeable foodstuffs. Honestly, when messing yourself up with foodstuffs, the quantity just is not that big. I went back to check the site a few days later and it was pretty much washed up without a trace.
This was also a pretty public spot, but the session took place in the middle of the night on a weekday, so the area was completely deserted. Maybe the next morning someone might've noticed some odd spots on the ground, but like I said, a few days later there was no trace.
