So I was on a site with different fetish models who do custom vids. I politely sent a messy custom request (nothing extreme, no nudity, sex, etc.) message to a model. And she replied back along the lines of "No I fucking wouldn't, stop already. I know its you Victor, I adding this to my police report."
First of all, I don't know who Victor is, nor have I ever contacted this women before. Nor would I ever harass any women at all. I replied back to her message saying I'm not this guy, and I'm sorry she's been harassed and that I will never contact her again. (I also blocked her on the site after sending my message. which I don't know if it was the right move or not. I was kinda freaked out and just wanted to prove I wasn't him. I was scared if I kept talking to her, it would look like I was the guy or something, idk.)
My worry is the part about the police report, I have nothing to do with this issue, nor do I want to be brought into it. Is this something I should be worried about?
Depending upon the level of the offence(s) involved with this Victor then the police might follow up and obtain your details from this other website through a standard police data request.
In terms of UK law, for harrassment it is commonplace to log all incidents and build a case but if there is a non-contact court order and this is a potential breach of that order then there should be a full investigation as on its own the breach is a criminal offence.
You may wish to contact the police of your own accord providing the context of what has happened and the various usernames and contact details involved. It always looks better if you volunteer information and if usually decreases the chances of the police 'knocking' on your door at 5am.
You've made the right decision in moving on and not contacting them again
Thanks for advice, but I'm in the U.S. so I think the law might be a little different. And I don't know if I should bring it up to the police myself yet, but at the same time the last thing I want is them knocking on the door either. My hope is that the guy is in another state and when they or if they check ip addresses they'll see we are not the same person.
You were on a fetish site soliciting a model for paid work. This is exactly what such a site is for. You explained yourself, and dropped communication. You did nothing wrong, and it would be a waste of time for the cops to come knocking on your door over that.
I would not contact the police. You've done everything right in informing her and then cutting contact. The odds of anything adverse happening to you are so small you should just forget about it.
DO NOT contact the police and offer up the information. That will only increase suspicion of you and warrant an investigation when in reality there isn't any reason for there to be one. Even if they tracked your IP address they will see you are a different one from the alias "Victor." They will also see your response. There is nothing to worry about and nothing is going to come from this. You were respectful and did the right thing.
