Was thinking of trying some pies with Susan for the first time... I want to try something new... Believe it or not I'm getting bored of our regular wam... What first world problems... Anyhow... I was wondering what the best cream is too use and any tips on how to use it exactly to get the best bang for my buck.. I worry that whip cream is going to get the spoiled milk smell on my skin and in my nose.... Any one have input on the subject?
Cool Whip is best. Let it thaw at least 4 hours in the fridge. if your making pies you can leave it at room temp after thawing for several hours to warm it up and it wont melt unless it is over 75deg for too long.
Real whipped cream does get that sour milk smell on your skin/hair; the above poster has the right idea with the Cool Whip (or generic whipped topping) in the frozen desserts section And remember if you use those pre-made graham cracker crusts, the pie tin edges are sharp!
