I would like to ask a few questions regarding buying stuff from any UMD store.
When I add some stuff to the shopping cart, on the checkout page there is a message saying "Your purchase will be available for 5 days.". Does that mean the download links for the paid stuff will be working only for 5 days before expired, and then I would have to buy the same stuff again if I lose it? Or did I misunderstood?
Second thing is the payment is supposed to go through EPOCH.COM. When I Googled it, I found a site full of negative reviews regarding epoch.com . Most people were claiming Epoch kept charging their credit cards without their approval, and the only way to stop it was to get a new card. Did you guys experience any problems after shopping on UMD store?
hi when you buy from umd stores, the link to download the video is available for 5 days then it expires as long you download anything you buy within those 5 days you have them for ever. Epoch are just the payment processor like any bank and the negative reviews are from when people sign up to subscription and don't realise but epoch are very helpful,just untick vip trial at checkout if its your first time unless you want vip but it's very easy to cancel. its all very secure and you will only be charged once
Yes, you only get access for 5 days to download the content, the best way to protect it from loss is to have a backup system in place, I recommend backblaze.com who will back your entire machine up, including any permanently-attached external drives, for just $6 a month.
TBH I'd ignore the review sites, people tend to only leave reviews when they have a bad experience and want to shout about it. I've bought loads of content from other UMD producers over the years, paid through Epoch via PayPal, never had a problem.
Hi there, I've bought a few things in recent years from different producers. I've never had any problems. You get 5 days to view your purchase on this site, with the the preferred option of saving it onto your device. I'm no tech wizz, but I found it easy! Then you can watch it whenever you like! I didn't have any problems until recently. BUT the morning after my last purchase a lady from the bank phoned. "Somebody has ordered downloads from... well... a... site... that..."
True, my last purchase only went through after a 2nd attempt, perhaps that's what triggered a warning.
It wasn't my first purchase through this site's store and actually she could just have looked at my purchase history several years back in time...

I also ran a store, after around many many sales, I have never had an issue with anyone saying they were having a problem with getting double charged or anything like that.
You're pretty safe buying things on UMD. This website has been around for a long time, and with a very active community and the topic of payment processing issues almost never has come up.
Is there any news on when your store will be reopening?
