Today's game -- 7 men, one semi-attractive middle aged woman. No surprise. This has been the ratio for most of the year and the imbalance Celso desires. Actually that's not true. He prefers eight men and zero women.
Anyway. The woman was pitted against a blind man. Yes, literally blind. She defeated him twice in large part because -- due to his blindness -- he had difficulty hitting the buzzer. She had no problem pushing the pie fully into his face both times despite the fact that he was wearing glasses. Compare this to the hundreds of delicate nose/chin pies the men have afforded fully sighted women for absolutely no reason.
Anyway. Blind guy steps to the podium for the third time. Celso suggests that he takes a few practice hits of the buzzer. On his third practice hit Celso puts a pie on top of the buzzer. The blind guy ends up smashing his hand into the pie. Celso thinks this is hysterical. Pranking a blind guy who has already lost twice due to his disability. As if the blind guy needs more humiliation. Is any more proof needed that Celso is a complete asswipe?
Anyway, blind guy loses for the third time and semi-attractive middle aged woman has no problem fully pressing the pie into his face again.
Every week this show finds a new way to sink several depths lower.
Forget PoR. Forever. I forgot it. We no longer need it. I bet that, when Globo TV notices how their audience will grow up with the messy scenes on their 9 PM soap opera, they will start to do it more and more. Retire PoR.
> It figures that PoR would become completely unwatchable when they finally provide a live stream on YouTube making it easy to watch.
> This Resgate program can't possibly be broadcast on a Brazilian television station. It appears to be YouTube only. With just a few hundred views per video I don't expect it to be around long. But kudos to whoever is funding it out of pocket.
> SS ... The results of my CT scan came back several weeks ago. No stroke or aneurysm. The other brain abnormalities have no medical explanation.
There's a LOT of random Latin American "pie games" similar to the one above, with cheap production values and so on. Just my two cents, but most aren't really worth a look as the pies are a little cream on a paper plate for no real coverage. The appeal of Chega Mais/Conexao.... and also PoR for a while there.... was that the pie formula was solid and a good hit provided excellent coverage. (And obviously, the women were far more attractive.)
Also, yes, that vid does have kids in it and you probably need to take it down before the whole thread gets removed.
Only show I know of with semi-decent content now is Guerreros, which has HD shows on the Canal1 channel. They've been mentioned before. Downside lately has been this trend for the pies to be "thrown" rather than smushed.... which results in the thrower missing the recipient's face completely 90% of the time.
The Resgate (translated = Rescue) show is on the Brazilian TV channel -- Band. I believe it's broadcast at 8:30am Saturday (Brazilian time). I can't find it listed on the Band's web site. I believe Resgate is a game show within another show.
All they need to do is increase the budget by a factor of 100 and call the CM Modeling agency. Then we're back in business.

Oh yeah, and get rid of the kids.
This is not a nationally broadcasted TV show. It's only a local TV show of a Band Network TV station in the country region of the state of Sao Paulo. I don't think they will do adjusts in their formula. It seems that they are more focused on doing a high schools contest than a pie game by itself.
