"Your Messy Gameshow Pitch"
Love you, too
Well just take your typical game show. A contestant comes up on stage with a chance to win a prize but then is offered a chance to win a much better prize if he/she is willing to sit on a seat above a tank of, oh any number of messy substances even just water. Here's the kicker. I you win, In you go ! ! !
I'm so into the wam games I need an intervention!

It's happened to me! There are (or were? I've not been in a few years) a trio of mazes at Legoland Windsor, the entrance to one of which is done up like a castle portcullis, except there's water cascading down from above, on to the arch at the top of the entrance, and down either side. The top of the arch will sometimes retract for a few moments, so all of a sudden the water is no longer flowing to either side of the entrance but forming a waterfall across the whole thing and drenching an unsuspecting visitor.
I think there might have been some kind of sprayers in the third maze too? Memory's a lot hazier on that one.

I think you are correct about the third maze with water sprayers as I have a vague recollection about that myself... Though I may just be confusing it with the number of water sprayers that have been springing up on Adventure Golf courses over the years...

As you mentioned, it is very unlikely that a storyline as I described it already has been put into practice. The question was intended to be about any kind of wet or messy section in a maze.
For example, I remember having seen some videos of (privately set up) heavy-duty horror mazes in the U.S. where they were quite generous with artificial blood, and I know about a maze in Germany where they sprayed loads of water onto some unsuspecting visitors.

well funney things is ... all most year 1/2 ago.. i had idea do show with someone on her called messydarla and when ask she said yes and 4 months later we had gameshow setup and quiz and all type of stuff girl- girl action.. alot of fun.. look for old stuff i had but ..no luck as yet.. all i have trailer did for her . and vids she selling. but alot of fun happy do it again one day ! 
My gameshow would be similar to "Distraction" in which the contestants, to answer the questions have to press a buzzer that throws a pie to the face, crack an egg on the head, activates a gunge tank or a mud dunk tank,...And of course there would be a celebrity version

At my college fall carnival, there was an obstacle course that simulated the travels of a sperm towards conception. The end part was a messy slip and slide towards a possible pie in the face. I remember this because I could get messy without arousing any suspicion - ha!
I had a messy game show RP thread on a different site that i hosted for a year. Makes a good story to read through.

It really depends on how creative you want to be. Assuming we can't suspend complete disbelief, I love contraptions. Messy devices that the loser has to endure when they lose. I would lean away from buzzer type games. More challenge, forfeit type deal.

Mostly here for the stories.
I am never a fan of 'walk of shames'. ie, you've lost a game and now need to walk over to the gunge tank/dunk tank/seat of doom etc.... personally, I find these walks fake and any pleads for "please don't gunge me" kind of false because they are walking to the victim spot on their own free will.
I much prefer all contestants to already be in place for a gunging and only the winner to be released. Now the loser physically can't escape and any pleading is more plausible.

Also prefer losing lives to scoring points!
