Okay, that thread about long-sought-after pie scenes yielded some interesting reading, so let's do the same for mud.
What scenes are known to exist but remain out of reach?
I can't think of any I've actually seen and haven't since tracked down. But here are two from the 60s that I've read about:
(1) HERE COME THE BRIDES (1968-70): Bjo Trimble recalled being on the set for a mass mud fight scene in one of her books on STAR TREK, and I remember turning on the TV during a rerun of this show on CBN during the mid-80s and catching the tail end of the scene. But when the DVDs came out, I scanned through all of them and couldn't find it, even though the running times suggested the episodes were not cut. What gives? Maybe I went past it somehow? Or is it a myth?
(2) HARRY'S GIRLS (1963): From Bob Lesczak's book "Single Season Sitcoms": "...the girls all tried to audition for an unconventional Italian director known simply as Gabrielli .... [H]e put the girls into a scene involving a mud fight. Dawn [Nickerson, one of the stars] remembers, "The mud was very gritty and we all wound up with scratches. We really went at it. We went into it with a plan, and it was done in one take." The pilot is out there among collectors, but it's the only episode in circulation, and there's a catch: apparently they reshot it and I'm not clear on whether the version that's obtainable is the one with the mud fight. I'm trying to track it down anyway.
In my early adolescent years a US network played re-runs of "Duke's of Hazard". There are 2 Daisy Duke mud scenes I'm aware of; one is a quicksand scene when the boys pull her out. I have found that one and watched it online on a few occasions.
There is another scene that I saw ONCE. I have searched and searched and only found 1 screen capture of the other scene. The boys and daisy are chasing some criminals. Daisy is chasing a female- she catches and tackles her in a large puddle of dark brown mud. They fall to the ground and wrestle briefly, and I'm pretty sure Daisy punches her out. I've attached the ONLY picture I've ever found of this. I would REALLY like to see this footage!

I read an interview years ago with Heather Thomas from the old Fall Guy series. She talked about how she had to do a mud wrestling scene. I've been looking for a clip for years.

Yes, I am a Jedi.
However, I was probably just working off of more info than you had.. I knew the general season the episode was in (2 or 3) and what the episode was about that this mud scene was in. I just didn't know the title of the episode.
So I just went to imdb.com and started reading the summaries of each episode there. Once I recognized the one this scene was in, I just went to youtube, and there it was.

This is more of a puddle of dirty water kind of thing. Good catfight, though. I don't know the episode title, although if the whole series ever comes out on DVD I'll have to figure it out and upgrade the clip.
Incidentally, the HILL STREET BLUES mud wrestling scene is one that I somehow never knew about until a few years ago, and didn't have until the complete DVD set came out this year. Nice to have that one in hand.
Back in the early 70's, I saw a news report about a "mud festival" that took place in England. I was already into wetlook, but this really intrigued me.
A TV show that seemed to be popular in America was Guiding Light. As I am in the UK it has been shown here but isn't very popular but It has a fantastic mud scene although it is in two parts on Youtube.
The next part is at the top of the video list on the site.
IF I am not too far off topic, I would like to nominate an Australian film called "The lady and Magee" (Or it might have been the other way round. The premise of the story is that Magee and rough and ready hard up ship's Capatin, "Kidnaps" the bosses daughter and they have to endure a journey across the outback to seek out the father. She starts out the journey in a white diaphanous ball gown which in turn gets wet, muddy and eventually ripped off. They cross a river and the emerging shote of her (no bra and very little else) is one that will stick with me for a long time.
They mudwrestle and get into all sorts of other messy trouble. I imagine it is from the 1970's and well worth seeking out if you get a sniff of a copy. BTW I think she falls in love with him in the end, but I can't be sure.

You remember it right. First she gets thrown in a lake in the dress, and then later on she gets covered in, and the two of them wrestle in, mud, with her wearing army green dungarees. It's a well shot mud scene from a WAM POV too.
The "lost scene" I remember is the tug-of-war over a mud pit from the 1975 episode of M*A*S*H, "Bulletin Board", where Hotlips goes right into the mud in her green combat trousers. As I remember she goes in forwards, but turns as she goes down so she sits her very shapely bottom straight into the mud. She then gets totally covered along with everyone else. Of course it's available on DVD, but there don't seem to be any clips of it, or stills, on the net, from a quick Google.
