Say, you drop your keys in a swamp, and you really need them to get home, so there is no choice but to go right into the swamp, in the clothes you're wearing, to look for them.

Or say you are just chilling at home when suddenly the doorbell rings. It's your old highschool friend, who you've always had a secret crush on, with two pies in their hands, ready to get messy.

Or you're on a hike with your partner, and walking along a creek, when your partner decides to surprise you by suddenly pushing you in the water, immediately soaking all your clothes.

It might be silly, but I wonder how many people here have stories of getting wet/messy, but completely unplanned, in a situation that sounds almost too good to be true when retold.

For me, the only thing that comes to mind was when I was volunteering at a small music festival. After it had ended, we spent quite a lot of time cleaning up all our stuff, and when we were done, it was very late into the night. After walking back all the way across the festival terrain, I saw that the gate that led to the place where the volunteers stayed had been shut already. I could have walked all the way back across the festival terrain and then all the way around it, but it was really late and I was really tired. Also, the gate was quite a ways off the floor, leaving enough space for someone like me to slide under, which I did. However, due to it being so dark, I did not see that the ground under the gate had become basically a huge mud puddle that my back was now sliding through. Only afterwards did I realize that the coat, shorts and boots I was wearing were now covered in mud. Not my greatest WAM experience, but a fun memory nonetheless.

My senior year of college the president of the student body asked me to help with the Homecoming Carnival. The theme that year was "County Fair." I had no desire to help at first, but she was a good friend and I decided to help. I asked what spots she needed filled and as she listed them off, "Mechanical bull, pumpkin carving, apple cider booth, etc." She also mentioned, "Pie Booth." I was excited of course but I figured it would be too good to be true if it was actually people getting pied. I asked if the job involved serving slices of pies or maybe be a pie eating contest, but no. It was a "Pie in the Face" Booth and I would be a target. And that was how I got messy for the first time. In public. Dressed as a sexy cowboy. I received around a dozen pies to the face that day. I included some photos below. Fantasy can become reality.

I was asked to be a pie target for a Femdom night at a local club. They found my fetlife profile and reached out. There were about 50 cool whip pies thrown.

I was at a campsite on the shore of Lake Erie and went for an early morning walk. There was nobody on the beach, and the sand extended for miles in either direction away from the park. After walking for about 30 minutes, I came across a pool of liquid clay, being fed by underground springs that kept it all at the right consistency. It was basically a perfect natural mud pit. looked around, and was indeed alone, so I jumped right in and enjoyed my first wam experience. It was great because I was ten feet from the lake, so clean up was relatively easy, as was a quick escape should any people have been seen.

It was a lot of fun.

So while this was intentional wam, it also had a surprise factor that made it something like you would see in a produced video. When I lived in Omaha, the only real mud I could get into there was in places they were clearing land for new housing development and they would dig basins to catch runoff to prevent mud from washing into streams and such. After storms these would fill up with some great mud, anywhere up to about 3 feet deep or so. Because it was completely open, the only way I could use them was late at night when there was no shot of workers or people being around.

One time, when hitting up a spot, I was working my way to the pit. The edges were covered with some tall brush and the bank was fairly steep. As I was going down the bank, the loose soil gave way and I totally did a full on dive/face plant right into the mud pit. In retrospect, I'm lucky that it was just soft mud and no rocks or anything underneath (I always check that out first before doing any kind of a planned dive/flop). That said, it was the first time I was truly shocked going into the mud somewhat unplanned and I would have killed to have video of that as the reaction would be completely genuine. I had a good personally laugh about it.

So, this sounds like a load of crap when I relate the story, but it's completely true.

I had been teaching my now wife to bake some of my favorite things over a course of a few weeks of dates We started with simple items such as cookies and cheesecake. We then moved on to harder to make items, such as merengue and cream pies. On the day I proposed, I taught her to bake a chocolate cream pie and a banana cream pie from scratch. It was a real throw back for me to my culinary arts class. When it came time to taste the goods, she headed off to use the restroom and freshen up a bit. I placed the chocolate cream pie on a chair at the table. I didn't think about it when I pulled out the same chair that had the pie on it. Without looking, she sat right in the pie the same as any of us have seen in numerous videos. I was terrified she'd break up with me if she saw how aroused it made me. She freaked out at first and checked her butt in a mirror. After resigning herself to the fact that her skirt now needed to be washed, she eased up and giggled at her fate. When she picked up the second pie, I thought she was going to smack me in the face with it. She came over to me, asking for a hug and promptly decided to dump that entire pie down the front of her v-neck shirt while hugging me. We had amazing sex right there and then showered in our clothes before heading back to bed for round two.

Mine was kind of intentional WAM, but not intended by me! There was a workplace charity auction, basically, people paid to nominate someone. The "winner" had to get into a bathtub full of mud. Yes, I "won". I was unprepared, had no idea it was going to happen to me, and consequently, got in with my normal work clothes on. The thing that I remember the most is stepping in, sinking almost to the knees, and then, when I tried to walk, losing both shoes! I was wearing a truly extravagant pair of stripey socks too, and they were completely covered in mud. But you know what? I absolutely loved it! Well, I'm here on the UMD aren't I? This incident started my journey.

Senior year in high school I volunteered to work at a car wash to raise money for our yearbook. Early fall day, lots of sunshine, and our pretty senior girls with the car wash signs were generating lots of traffic. Things died down after a few hours, so people started water fights. 18 year old girls in tight jeans wet as seals. I'm mostly into mess, but that was a great turn on.

More than a few times but I can't discuss them. You wouldn't believe most of it anyway. Seriously.

I volunteer as Tribute! Where can I sign up?

Years ago as a student I had a job collecting soil and sediment samples as part of a geological survey. At one site I sank up to my waist quite unexpectedly where there was a thin layer of vegetation over the top of marsh that my feet broke through. My co-worker seemed quite puzzled that I wasn't distressed at this...

I think this fits the 'unrealistic' category, or at least unexpected. I did a recent photo-shoot with a young professional woman for her business cards. She slipped while sitting on the stool, and then told me she's a klutz and went on to say she once purposely fell into a fountain while out with her girlfriends, just because she loves ruining her look and being seen. The discussion progressed and now, in 2 or 3 weeks, we'll be doing some messy photography, with the eventual intention of shooting regular video segments. So although it wasn't a wam scenario, it is a future wam scenario and happened totally unexpectedly.

I'd say the first step is getting connected with local groups on Fetlife. Attend Munches, meet people, build relationships, and let them know what you're into.

Not into mud but...

when I was in high school, a friend had some undeveloped land behind her land that would get water logged from time to time. Any time we would have a gathering, we would go out and explore this area. One time me and a friend were walking around and I was on top of a dirt hill and jumped off to an area we hadn't been in yet. The land was dirt and cracked so I assumed it was dry. It wasn't. I literally went up torso deep into some mud and was actually stuck. My jeans were ruined, and I was wearing my letter jacket which was only saved thanks to dry cleaning.

I stayed stuck in the mud for like 20 minutes while the friend I was with ran back to get some help. Then they tried to find the cleanest path to crawl to me. A couple of girls came out and basically pulled me out which made them messy as well. It probably would have been fun if it wasn't so damn cold outside that day.

Once I got back to the house, I basically had to drive home in my underwear because I didn't have a change of clothes I could wear. Glad I didn't get pulled over that evening lol

One year my college fall festival happened after a rainstorm, so there was a large muddy area in the middle of the festival area. A few people were already in the mud, so I stood close by, hoping to get muddy. Someone grabbed me and threw me in the mud, and I was almost fully covered! Everyone was throwing mud at everyone else for a few minutes, but then public safety came and broke it up. Still, that was the first time I knew I was really into WAM.

So lets be real here... Whats going on with the accidental boners in these situations?

Yes, two improbable scenarios I think.

First- at a friends houseparty with lots of alcohol but also, coincidentally, a bucket of gunge present which had been left over from a public event that day. This prompted nostalgic discussion about Noel's Houseparty and as we were at a houseparty an idea hatched for a gunging to occur. Perhaps due to being quiet and shifty during the discussion I became the unaminous choice and found myself in front of a crowd getting gunged with no opportunity to change. I certainly had not gone out that evening expecting that.

Second at a camp as a teenager where lots of trampling feet had produced a deep muddy puddle. Some had willingly jumped into it but I was picked up by mates who threw me into it, fully clothed, but also picked some up and dumped it on my head.

In answer to the above- no boners I think due to massive nerves during both scenarios.

I was working on a Saturday but had gotten up WAY too early on a sunny, warm summer morning. So I figured I'd detour to some trails I had heard of that supposedly had quicksand. I walked along and saw a 'Warning Quicksand' sign, but saw no sign of anything that looked muddy, so I passed the plastic fencing they had put up and continued into the forbidden zone. There were small shrubs, and sparse grass, but no water, no mud - nothing - until suddenly my feet sank into the earth! I didn't know what quicksand was at the time, but it's soil suspended over water. In my case, it was very swampy, dirty wet mud with a few inches of earth 'floating' on top. Once my feet broke through, my legs followed very quickly until I found myself thigh-deep and with my hands on the surface of the ground. I was able to step up and out and get to solid ground, but had to go straight home and call work to tell them I'd be a bit late. I washed off my legs and changed my jeans, but still had a 'swampy' smell which the receptionist noticed. I pretended I didn't notice and got through my shift.

So I saw this thread a while ago and meant to reply but been so busy! I will start by saying that mud is not totally my thing so this wasn't really an ultimate fantasy for me or anything at the time, but I have been doing a lot of new things recently (clowns, feet etc) and having a lot of fun so if someone gets a kick out of it then brilliant!

I was towards the end of high school and every year we had a cross-country run which everyone had to do over about 2 and a quarter miles. You know where this is going already it was normally a completely miserable event and was run in October and was usually raining and very very, you guessed it, muddy. But just not really in a good way- just horrible thick muddy grass that your shoes stuck in when you tried to run! Well at the end of the run there was quite a long walk back to the changing rooms across a soccer field and it had been raining so heavily the previous few days that the area near the goals was quite flooded but then this had spread over an even larger area than usual and reached a patch of grass which was bare from all the games and produced this large area of deep brown mud with a consistency like semolina (remember that stuff ??!).

Anyway, I was studiously avoiding it, just as everyone else was, walking back in my white polo-shirt top and tiny skimpy navy blue shorts (school colours!) when the first group of boys (their run started at a different time) finished and starting walking over from the finishing line. My friend Doug, who was a bit of a naughty boy anyway (!) came up behind me and grabbed my back, obviously pretending to throw me into the mud, and at just exactly the wrong time one of my trainers got stuck, I twisted around and was flung face first, whole-body into a pool of dark brown mud. I was so surprised I could hardly say anything and he obviously wasn't intending to have such a dramatic effect so we both just kind of paused for a second, me lying face-down on the ground completely covered head to toe in mud and him standing there thinking I was about to kick him in the balls! Now I am always up for a laugh but fight fire with fire so I obviously pulled him down after me.... We didn't wrestle or anything (we didn't feel like that about each other if you know what I mean !) but I was left completely caked in brown mud, a white top that was totally ruined and after I had tried to clean my face just 2 white eyeballs staring out from a mud monster . Nobody would go near me in the changing rooms and my mum didn't speak to me for days!

Sadly no photos, no videos (no mobile phones much in those days, at least not ones with cameras) just a silly memory I wanted to share!

I also have one from my high school days. I went to a boarding school, so lived on campus. There was a huge thunderstorm with torrential rains. (Probably only lasted 20 minutes or so) A mixed group of us were outside playing, wrestling and splashing in the puddles. White t-shirts were present as well, much to all the boys' enjoyment. I do have a Polaroid of myself afterwards, but shouldn't share it here.

I did something like this once! But it was in competitive/organized soccer. It rained really bad before our game and the field was a WRECK. Standing water everywhere made for big puddles and big pockets of mud. Total slosh fest. But it was probably the funnest game we've ever played--all the other girls had a good time with it too (for the most part)! There were a couple times I went for a slide tackle that was less than well-timed solely to have an excuse to slide in the mud.

My mom was like up in arms after that game. That made it even more fun. She was like super determined to get my underwear clean (uniform came out easy since it was synthetic material) but she never did lol.

I have a really awkward one. In a past life I was a University professor, and my students really loved me. As a pillar of the school I kept my personal life private, so much so that they didn't even know I had a girlfriend. So my students come up with this event called Pie your professor in which students could pay to smash a Cool Whip Pie in the face of their favorite teacher. When I was initially approached by the students I respectfully declined. Being a very active Wammer at the time I was very uneasy of mixing church and state. However My boss the dean of students insisted I participate. So like i said the students loved me and since I was ordered to participate i gritted my teeth and said I'd do it. So I show up on the day terrified of what may happen. I wasn't concerned about getting or being messy but I didn't want to reveal myself too much.

Well collage kids will be collage kids and I end up getting clobbered by about 50 students 90% were female students. I ended up keeping it together and ended up having a good time. but Man Just imagine young college girls pieing you sounds like the ultimate fantasy but while it was fun and I generally enjoyed being messy for 3 hours in public I never fantasied about any of my students and it was so Awkward. Thankfully My GF at the time understood my struggle and knew my feeling about how against i am in a student teacher relationship being any more then that. She surprised me with pies and Slime when i got home. That was Great and in a way therapeutic turning a negative into a very nice positive.

When I was little this something similar happened when I was by a state park waterfall

It would have been better if I hadn't had to work through the rest of the day muddy! There was no place to clean off, and it happened in the morning.

Not sure if this counts, but I pushed a girl into a swimming pool at an office picnic, once. She wasn't too upset about it, and even stayed in the water for around an hour!
