I finally found this place today after several days of searching on Google map. Just the perfect place to play in the mud. Easy to clean and hardly any passersby. And I went on a Sunday, if it's a weekday there shouldn't be anyone.

Shafter Bend is on Lake Travis and is about where the mudflats are right now due the lake level declining. The mud is somewhat sandy...
