Didn't know where to post this, i may post in "W" as well, but just curious...

Wet does next to nothing for me. Well, that's not true -- who doesn't love seeing attractive members of the opposite sex getting wet, whether nude or in some stage of dress/undress? But the "fetish" part of "W" does nothing for me, unless the girl is absolutely my "type" visually (which would be brunettes with big brown eyes, of the Phoebe, Winona Ryder, Rachel Weisz, etc. category). But to me there is SO much in life -- billboards, magazine ads, wet T-shirt pics, Facebook pics whatever -- that "Wet" clothing and anything adjacent just seems to be completely ubiquitous. I can see the love for something like a girl in socks and gym clothes in a shower, 1,001 variations on a theme to get the right outfit/look, but basically it's like "how is that particularly special"? Also: feels easier to get a partner into Wetlook than into the Messy side of WAM. (Keep in mind this is my perception, and not meant to be damning/harsh, it's part of my curiosity/why i'm asking.)

As for Messy, well -- i won't spend a ton of time in this post talking about it. I like pies a lot. I like slime quite a bit. Anything super "heavy" messy is good -- eggs and see-through substances, just not all that interesting to me. So, obviously, it's about the cover-up, the submersion/immersion re: to WAM that appeals to me, going back to playing in mud/dirt as a kid, making mud cakes & pies, seeing all of the well-known clips and shows (YOU CAN'T, THREE'S COMPANY, LITTLE RASCALS, ELEC COMPANY and on and on).

Long story short: Wet just isn't very appealing at all to me, beyond the attractiveness of the female form.

But I assume there are people who just come here JUST for Wet and not Messy, and vice versa.

Where do YOU stand?

Are both equally appealing? I've chatted with a few folks lately (like JD of JD & Janet) who seem to like both equally, and/or mixed together? (To me, wet look/water is only useful to clean someone off between messings, though i like the idea of a shower or jumping in a pool afterward, with intent of going clothed-to-unclothed.)

Does Mess intrude on/ruin the Wet if you're a fan of Wetlook? If you're Wetlook fan, does Mess have any correlation/connection to your interest, or does it feel completely separate in your world? Just interesting to me that they are lumped together, yet I'd imagine for some (like me), the other 50% is almost completely null and void.

P.S. In talking with JD/looking at some of the posts from Jayce, et al about Dr. Splash and the Dunktank, I can definitely see the appeal of that.

It looks fun; appeals to that "wait for it....it's coming...." aspect of WAM i think most of us really like; has a youthful/timeless sense of play about it.

I'd say it's a rare Wet-related aspect that I totally can see having a blast with. But to the point where, unless there's nudity/mess involved somehow, it's almost more sheer fun and enjoyment vs. sensual, sexy, WAM-related.

Personally, I like both! As Mapwhap just said, I also think it's a lot about humiliation. I've got a feeling that your favorite part of wam, Joe, is the fun, slapstick part, where the ladies are laughing and having fun getting messy. And you mentioned the "cover-up" part, where the substance is covering part of the lady, which of course water is not going to do.

I strongly enjoy the humiliation aspect of WAM. So a well-dressed woman getting a pie in the face is perfect! And a well-dressed woman getting dunked, or thrown in a pool, and coming out all sputtering, with her clothes heavy on her and hanging, and her hair all a mess is also humiliating.

And, of course, we're all wired differently. Why do some of us love mess on a clothed woman, while others only want her nude and messy? Why do some of us need white socks, or a bikini, or a watch to make it perfect? That's just how each of us responds to this.

I've never understood naked wetlook, or dunking in a bathing suit. A bathing suit is supposed to get wet. And a naked lady? You can't hardly tell she's wet except for her hair. But that's all part of the "different strokes for different folks".

That's why I feel that most of my interest is because of the humiliation. A lady in nice clothes getting wet is "humiliating". Same for getting pied or otherwise messy. A lady in a white t-shirt is of course showing off her assets when she gets dunked. If she wants to, it's fun and sexy! If she doesn't want to, it's humiliating and sexy!

And when I'm talking about humiliation, It's not necessarily humiliating for the woman. I think that's just what originally set it off for me all those years ago.

I've mentioned in other posts that I also enjoy the "fun" side, but naturally, it's sexy for me, not just innocent fun!

I hope this gives you a little insight into what *I'm* experiencing when I watch wetlook, Joe.

I only like wetlook if it involves humiliation. The ideal scenario is a well dressed woman pushed into a pool at a fancy party. I have put requests for recommendations for such scenes on the Wetlook forum, but I never get much of a response. :-S

NM -- you're pretty spot on, and in particular about my interest in WAM. i would never deny it has a sexual/sensual connotation, but on the other hand if it's GENUINE humiliation, meaning the person looks to be truly uncomfortable, it feels unfortunate/bordering on off putting. but "fun" humiliation is great -- by which i mean, the best "shocked face" an actress could muster (or actor; if it's a woman doing the pieing, i'm generally into that too). as NM mentioned, someone getting dumped into a pool or water thrown on them, in particular the last, even if they know it's coming, can create a real stunned reaction or outburst and that can be really titillating to see. but a girl standing in a shower, slowwwwly watering her sweater and jeans and socks and gloves and whatever else.....enh.

Unless it's Natasha Henstridge in Species. That shit was hot.

Oddly, I find myself opposite to you in a lot of what you find so satisfying about WAM melanie, and yet when you describe your fantasies and interest in it, i 100 percent understand the appeal, even of being slowly tortured. the rain walks sound equally peaceful and sensual.

A big part of WAM for me is sensation, especially the interaction of wet/messy clothing with my/my partner's skin.
That said, it's also an intensely visual thing for me as well, and while I most certainly delight in seeing wet clothes, shoes, and hair, it's not nearly as awesome as seeing the same things covered in mud or mess.

I've noticed that the wetlook portion of the forum doesn't get as many hits as the messy portion. Many posts get no responces!
I, for one, love wetlook. It was my introduction to WAM, as I'm sure it was for many here.

I hesitated to bring it up, because I don't mean it to sound "WANH WANHHHH" but i did find it interesting that, as of yet, this post hasn't gotten a single response in/from the Wetlook forum community.
