So here is my question and it's for people lucky enough to be pied 50+ times in a session. After awhile do the pies no longer have an effect? I ask cause I dream of a session that massive but I can imagine after awhile no longer being amused by that many pies. Or is it still fun even after being hit with a deluge of mess?

I'd say it really depends on why you're doing it. If your goal is to just get messy, then I guess you've won by the time you've hit 50 pies. If there are other aspects involved, domination or just general fun or sexy time, your returns are only as diminished as your enjoyment.
Storage is something to consider. Do you have room for 50 pies all in one space? The mood might be dampened if you need to dash off to another space to reload and transport that many supplies to a new area, or it could heighten it if you make a game of it or something. Our wam-appropriate rooms are kinda narrow in my house so I can at best get about 15-20 pies and some buckets of other stuff handy while still having room to maneuver.

One option is to make them as you go. This was my setup for a 50 pie evening. Just snip the corner of the bag and pipe out as needed.
I can tell you that 50 pies takes up a LOT of space..... Like, my "storage cart" unit from Wal-Mart has 4 tiers and can hold... 26 pies?? Any more and you're doing a balancing thing where they might fall off. (I could add the fifth shelf but then it's actually hard to reach the pies on top without a ladder.)
On the rare occasions I've used that many pies before, it's always multiple models and there's either extra pies just sitting on the ground or in the kitchen and we need to "pause" mid-scene to get more. Just something to think about if you're attempting this.

This is the answer I was looking for I am glad all of them were fun

Wait how much storage space do you have just for wam
For me personally I could take 100's and be quite happy. Nothing better than the feeling of a pie being smushed in your faceor anywhere else for that matter

I don't have storage space "just" for WAM, but there's definitely an area in my pantry with lots of store-bought crust, cake mix, and so on. And a few days before a shoot, the fridge is usually stocked with Cool Whip and cakes.
Once you make the pies, they take up more space and of course you have a finite window in which to use them. 50 pies in a giant warehouse area on multiple tables (like an old gameshow) won't look like much. But 50 pies in a small shooting room are gonna take up all available floor space unless you get a big storage rack or two.
I think there is definitely a point of diminishing returns. This may differ if you use real pies with crusts and other fillings that are not readily reusable, but I typically just whipped topping in a tin/on a foam plate. My most recent session was 20 pies, each one made out of a 16 oz tub of whipped topping, and that seemed to be plenty because if you run out, you can just scoop out some of the leftovers or excess and make new pies, so I probably pied myself 40-50 times out of the cream used to make 20 pies.
One of my other favorite techniques with that much whipped topping is to take it, fill up a 2.5 gallon bucket with it, and smush it around my head. Even after using the initial 20 pies and scooping the excess into the bucket and filling it there was still enough cream to have 5 or 6 good-sized pies waiting after the bucket dump.
As others have noted, the logistics of it are challenging as well; I don't think my fridge can handle much more than the 20 tubs of whipped topping at a time, and for a session that large I have to take it out of the bathroom and hang up sheeting in a larger room in my house, which then runs the risk of getting whipped cream splatters in places that I don't want them to be...
A very long time ago I bought 40 pies and they sat in the car trunk for a couple of weeks. The weather worked well as it was in the 30s most of the time.

For me if I'm raising funds for a charity or bringing awareness to helping for a cause their is no limit
Most I've ever had just for myself has been 30 pies. And yeah, after about 5, you're pretty well covered but it's still fun to watch the videos of it because I use very bright colors (I color the pudding and the whipped cream) and lots of combinations. So the visual aspect is still awesome even if the tactile sensation wears off. Most pies I've ever made for a session is 40, but that's when it's my wife and I both getting messy.

It does take a lot of prep though. Trying to balance them all everywhere is a chore like other people have said but totally worth it.
If it's set up/agreed, then yeah! every pie counts! 50 direct pies to the face is one thing. But.. having an element of play to dodging each pie or a verbal exchange between each hit could be something you could try...
Here's my take. When it comes to watching a pie video, it can have diminishing returns if it's going on for ages with little to no variation in technique, colour reaction, etc. However, being on the receiving end of multiple pies, I've yet to find my diminishing return limit. My record sits at about 50 pies in my face in one sitting and I enjoyed receiving everyone of them
