I wanted to post this appreciation thread of Tara Ashley who was a model that worked with Anglefan for a long time. I just read on the internet that Tara was killed in an auto accident last September. I was sad to hear the news. Wasn't sure how many others heard about it. Here are some Gifs to start the thread. I am going to post more under my profile by tomorrow. I can't post too many at once as I still am having problems posting mulitple Gifs at once.
I was (Facebook) friends with her so I heard the news the day it happened. Terrible loss. That said, I can't personally watch her clips anymore... It just feels wrong, somehow.

Same here Rich. I heard this sad news from Rich himself and I had no idea until he alerted me about it. I felt terrible because I had worked with her several times over the course of 2 years and got to know her pretty well. Truly a tragic loss.
Yeah, been friends with Ken since the early days and him and Rich said it best....hard to rewatch. I'll watch them once for respect, and then let them fade into the sunset. Such a tragic loss!
Out of everyone involved in the accident, she was the only who passed away, due to her injuries. Very sad, she was a beautiful woman. I hope all is well for her family.

Well Ken..........thanks for letting all your customers know that are still buying Tara's videos that Tara passed away!! You claim that you can't watch Tara's videos anymore because it "just feels wrong", as Rich said, but you agreed with him. Well, I have a question for you. Since you think it "just feels wrong" to watch her videos, how come it doesn't "feel wrong" to continue to sell her videos, and profit from her work? Doesn't that make you a "hypocrite"??
I too was HORRIFIED, and very saddened when I saw the article that Tara had passed away. I didn't know Tara for 2 years like you say you did, and wasn't selling her videos but I still felt compelled to let the UMD community know about her death. It "just felt right"! The fact that you are still selling her work, and didn't let anyone buying it know that she had passed away IMHO is.........!! :ahahah:
Having said all of that. If I were in your position, and felt the way you did about viewing Tara's stuff, I would either stop selling her videos, or I would continue selling her videos and donate the money to a charity that Tara would support.
According to the article I read, one of Tara's passions was her love for animals. The article mentioned that donations may be made directly to an organization called "Greyhound Pets of America Emerald Coast" at www.GPAEC.com (an organization that helps to rescue greyhounds) in Tara's name. Maybe you should consider doing that!
It's truly sad that she passed away but it's not like we need to therefore erase her from existence. There is nothing degrading about her videos, harming her memory or something.
How about we all remember her for the beautiful woman that she was and enjoy her videos?
If someone knew her well enough where it becomes hurtful to personally watch the videos, then that's fine and there's nothing wrong with that. Watching the videos probably brings back memories of her for them that tears the band-aid off the wound.
But that doesn't need to apply to everyone else. Perhaps some people prefer to remember her having fun like this?

Very well said Mr Fred! I happen to agree with your point of view!
SStuff said: I knew back then but I don't really think it's my place to publicly say, "Hey, another producer's model died....."
Once an appreciation thread started going, however, I felt it was best to let people know up front.
Yes Rich, I agree with you! IMHO Ken is the one that should have said something, especially since he is still promoting her videos!!
However, having said that. If I knew she passed away, and told Ken, and he didn't say anything, that's when I would have mentioned it, just because I don't feel its right not to. I sent Ken an e-mail the day I found out and asked him if he knew that Tara died. Never got a response from him! :ahahah: Just because this WAM community didn't know Tara personally doesn't mean that we wouldn't care if something tragic happened to her. She was one of my all time favorite models of Anglefan's, and I was very saddened to hear that she died!
Thank you Rich for explaining why you didn't tell anyone. I personally could not have kept something like that a secret, but I understand your reasoning.

I agree with MrFred and Mr_Pies here. Everyone reacts differently to situations like this. I think if this had been disclosed, some customers would have not purchased her video because, as was said "it just didn't feel right", while others would have done so as a show of respect to her great work! As a caring community, people want to know for better or worse about something that happens to a favorite producer or model (Unfortunately we saw that with fakes like Skylar, but she only got away with it because people here DO care!)
I agree with Mr Pies' sentiments here. Once I found out about this, I was in the middle of plugging one of her 2009 videos and had no idea. As soon as I knew (from Rich), I messaged the moderators and asked that they remove my new thread plugging her video. I am no longer releasing or plugging any future Tara videos. Mr Pies, you probably messaged me at my old UMD account which was compromised during the whole phishing thing.
