As much as I like the new possibilities with ai I also think right now we are being flooded with images. Can't start an image search without having to scroll through them.

Could we just tag them as works of ai and add it to the filters?

AI can be fun, but it needs to be filtered so that it does not dominate the site.

I still prefer REAL women getting messy.

I also wonder what Messmaster and the moderators think of more explicit AI content.

Is a naked AI more likely to pass the TOS than a real photo?

At first when moderating I was interpreting AI posts based on the "cartoon" rules where full nudity even for unverified accounts was allowed as no real person was depicted, but MM has since clarified the rules, and so no, photorealistic AI WAM with nudity, if posted by an unverified account, will be rejected the same way unverified account real nudity would be. And if it's questionalble how realistic it is we'll most likely err on the side of caution, just to be safe.

Note there's no prohibition on nudity here, it's just that if people want to post nude, explicit, or XXX content, they need to verify their account. The idea isn't to censor nudity, it's to make sure that when nudity and XXX is posted, the site owner knows the real identity of the person uploading the content. This is mainly a protection against exploitation, revenge porn, unconsensual filming, underage models, etc.

Anyone who is verified can post whatever they like as long as it's legal in the US, including hardcore AI-generated XXX if they want to.

Back to the original topic, MM is developing AI tagging as part of the general upgrades he's working on, but I don't think it's fully complete yet as when I went to edit a post someone had flagged as incorrectly tagged the other day, I couldn't see an option to add the synthetic flag to it. But it is coming.

When I post something (new thread or adding a comment), there are 2 checkboxes underneath:
* X-rated content (Depicts sex or masturbation)
* Synthetic content (Images or text generated by computer)

Maybe not everyone gets those boxes?

Agree and glad if it's being sorted to be filtered out. Right now it's dominating searches and the wall and it's detracting from the experience of this great site, in my opinion.

Image isn't showing (but also isn't in the mod queue, I checked), but guessing you're seeing boxes on the actual upload page. Last time I checked, those options weren't there for editing a post, but a) I might have missed them and b) MM may have added them to edit since I looked. But responding to a flag that filtering out synthetic wasn't working for a particular post, I couldn't see a way to add the tag to the post. I'm sure it'll be enabled before long though.

I just tried to edit my previous comment, and I see the same 2 check boxes on the edit screen. Interestingly, I also see my screenshot there ("pending approval"), so I assume there's a glitch if you can't see it in the mod queue.


That was probably my flag I figured it was better to report the post as mistagged rather than posting a comment, and I'd encourage other people to do the same if you see any AI content, just to avoid any hurt feelings.

Had another look, found them - I'd been looking where the gender tags are.

Set that that thread to "synthetic" and cleared the flag, check if its gone from your filtered view?

Hang on, how come it's that straightforward to add a filter for AI content but a few of us were told recently it was categorically impossible to add one for gross-out/savoury? Both things can't be true.

Meanwhile it's still a Russian roulette on here of things that might suddenly make me gag and close the browser tab. Not a fan of AI but it doesn't actively push me towards visiting a different website.

At a guess, it's because "AI or not" is an absolute - something is either synthetic or it isn't - whereas "gross" is subjective and will be different for different people. Some might find all savoury substances gross, others might be fine with smooth things like ketchup or gravy or mayonnaise, but not lumpy things like beans or spaghetti.

I get the AI is "art" answer, but I just enjoy seeing that real people like breaking all of the up-tight societal rules around keeping clean, neat and tidy.

You can imagine what folk might get up to, you don't need AI for that, but real images/experiences of what real folk do become the basis for that imagination as they're realistic, what it would be like if they did. An AI image won't help you imagine the girl/boy you're crushing on getting horny and filthy in the dirtiest spot you know, it'll offer you something else, which you also know to be fake.
