What is your favorite messy game show? This includes shows like Double Dare, Figure It Out, Spellmageddon, as well as shows we see on YouTube like EEG, Potentially Messy Game Show, Luck of the Draw and more.

I *loved* the original Figure It Out - it's definitely what started all this for me. It's a shame the ladies typically got minuscule slimings compared to the guys. The new FIO didn't discriminate and had much better coverage with the multiple angles, but methylcellulose or whatever that stuff was will just never do it for me.

Agreed 100%. I also miss the white t-shirts. I was really stoked for the new show until I saw a trailer and saw they got rid of those and have that really transparent slime. If I ever get a chance to make my own WAM series I'd like to do a version of FIO with pies and water too.

When I was growing up, Nickelodeon was a treasure trove. Yes to everything mentioned so far here, but also Wild & Crazy Kids, especially when the hosts would get into it as well.

When I was a kid, I loved the games in Fun House. That would be a dream job, inventing different ways of getting someone messy. It always looked like so much fun too!

Get Your Own Back, however, is definitely my favourite. I wish that it would be back on our tellies. I always dreamed of dunking a female teacher, friend, friends mum(!) and work colleague and boss in the infamous gunk dunk. The thought of seeing them frightened and panicked (but secretly enjoying being) dangling above the gunge... Unfortunately at this moment in time all of this occurs only in th e stories I write.

Anyone know where I can get like a DVD set of the complete 90's Figure It Out? Amazon only has a handful of episodes and whole seasons are scarce online.

My favorite game show is before many people's times on here--Truth or Consequences. The host/star was Bob Barker, who went on to greater fame hosting The Price is Right, but he was on T or C from the mid 50s to around 1970. It was almost a torture show, the way they'd make some poor slob, always a man, put on plastic sheeting over his suit and tie (everybody dressed up in those days) and a shower cap, then have his wife answer trivia questions. If she got one wrong of course, she'd pie him, and Bob Barker would often tell her to "give it a twist" or "take your time"--there weren't any 60-second time limits, and there was a live audience that would go absolutely wild with screams and laughter. It was just basic pies in the face, usually shave cream, occasionally ketchup or chocolate syrup, but the intent was clearly to embarrass and humiliate the contestants. I LOVED it!!

My fave would have to be GYOB I just loved' to see some woman dunked in the gunge tank fully clothed! In fact I must admit it'd be a real trip to get dunked in there myself.

Funhouse was the best especially when the outfits got gungy.. the nylon shorts would look great....
