After the great success of the Vegas (and various UK Splunches) over the past years.

I was thinking it's about time we done a proper UK/Europe WAM event for 2027 and would love you guys & gals suggestions about it (location etc).

I'm up for helping to organize & run it with a few others (will definitely need help as it is never easy to get something like this up and running successfully)

Leave your thoughts and views here and I will on the case to gel this together for July 2027 (so it won't clash with Vegas 2027 & Splunches before that)

Always have loved the idea of joining in but Vegas was just too far to actually attend so something closer would definitely be amazing so definitely will be following.

Already had a few thoughts about places to organize it like London (too obvious), Leeds, Bristol, Wales, Birmingham, Manchester along with Germany (Berlin) or Holland (Amsterdam) too.

Being from The Netherlands myself why Amsterdam? As Rotterdam would be lower down in the country still be available to the airport, and the ferry and a little cheaper. In my opinion.

Would be happy to help if you needed some? Planning stuff like this is something I really enjoy, but I appreciate I'm not a producer etc and don't have contacts within the industry!

No worries it is more just a general comment to say for a location it doesn't have to be a well known city/town just that it needs to make sense logistically

The original Las Vegas one in 18 was basically just MM inviting all of us to join his annual holiday to Vegas, everything else that happened grew up around that. It meant American producers could run paid fringe events, because US models can legally work anywhere in the US.

In the case of a UK / European event, pick a major tourist city that will be a place people want to visit anyway - the European verson of Las Vegas is of course Monaco but that might be expensive - and then an event could be put together round many of us being there at the same time.

Amsterdam or London are good choices, or Paris, Barcelona, Berlin? Or if we want unlimited wetlook potential, somewhere on the Mediterranean or Adriatic coasts with sea access.

Basically think "really nice tourist destination" that we can all gather at and enjoy the place itself, as well as any WAM potential.

I'd like to come hopefully.

What about Nottingham? I think things have been organised in Liverpool before, as well.

Liverpool would be brilliant and have been quite a few times there.

Never been to Nottingham but have heard good things about it.

Are you thinking of a Splunch, or a Vegas-style international meetup?

Splunches can be anywhere, as they're one-day events. Something like Vegas on the other hand was a full on complete holiday, Friday and I spent 9 nights there, the WAM-side was just part of it. For something like that, London would be the best UK location, or possibly Manchester - well connected international airports, loads of hotels, lots of stuff to do or places to see - side trips by train to Liverpool, or York, real full-holiday stuff.

Thing is there isn't really any UK or EU producer with the cachet MM's got. Once that'd have been Bill Shipton's role, but there isn't really anyone of his scene stature any more.

Weirdly one of the most fun splunches I remember was in Milton Keynes of all places! Back when Maria was in the UK.
