"Red Silk in Fresh Peat"
The peat bog was in good form on this summer day in 2008. A light flow of water over the top kept it freshly aromatic! This scene was originally not meant for life as a video clip. The purpose behind it was to pull vidcaps, to post as stills, or to use as source material for quicksand-based artwork (Nessie draws). How this affected the action: Nessie, wearing a long-sleeved red silk blouse and black shorts, moves verrrrrrry slowly through the peat bog so as not to make blurry frames while looking like she's sinking in quicksand, and--yes, she thought of UMD while doing this!--shows off the peaty ruination of her clothing. The blouse got grandly and muddily sopped, darkening nicely in the mire. It sadly did not survive this session, for it was indeed real silk. No facial coverage or submersion.
