There was an effort on reddit to preserve things once it started going downhill. It seems like there was a google thing setup to host some of the stories. There was a claim about thousands of stories saved, but some of the ones I liked did not make the cut. The folders and structure is there just not all the authors.
Thanks for your replies - it sounds as if the original site has been lost? If so that is such a loss to the community? And all the stories gone forever?
Things move on. There have been lots of things we've lost on line but there are things we gain too. It's part of moving through life. WAM story wise a lot of the folk who wrote them have them on there fetlife profiles. I don't think we have a text option on our profiles here. I remember what a big thing for me stories were when I first found sites like this on the internet. Big Daves world of WAM EC gunge etc. TV clips weren't my thing but there was a whole section of folks who recorded and uploaded clips anyone remember WAM monkey? There are people on here older than me who remember times when things were done through magazines. Why don't you start a group on here? You can then post the stories that are still available on line and ask the authors who are still about to contribute theirs.

There's been a couple of different iterations of the archives with the latest one unfortunately going down roughly early this year when the owner/admin/host went MIA and the site suffered from many issues that rendered access impossible. Some stuff is still accessible by the wayback machine but it's hit and miss. r/wamtext on reddit has some stories as well as relevant links to some hodge podge backups and repostings elsewhere.
