Weird question, but what is your favorite foods to WAM with that taste sweet? I'm making plans to meet with someone in February for a gunging but she really wants to use tasty, sweet foods that are easy to get out of hair.
So far we've agreed on whipped cream pies, chocolate syrup, strawberry syrup, pancake syrup, cake batter, sprinkles, eggs (not sweet, but she really likes the feel of eggs), and a birthday cake since it'll be her birthday week.
I need some ideas for other sweet liquids to dump on her head, and it needs to be something available in the USA. Any tips?

Pudding powder and applesauce makes a great, sticky and sweet slime!
Applesauce definitely feels incredible. Better when warmed up though. Quick tip with applesauce though... careful when it gets on clothing. I'd used it naked a few times and didn't really think anything of it when I used it clothed. I assumed I could just give my clothes a quick rinse before throwing in the washing machine and it would be ok. I was really wrong about that.
Even after the wash cycle, my clothes all still had bits of apple in them. If you start clothed and finish naked, save the applesauce until the end.
Aside from that, all the substances you named are great. I would add that marshmallow fluff is just amazing and it washes off very easily with just warm water. You wouldn't think so because of its consistency, but it does.
Also in case not aware, when getting syrup off afterwards, no rubbing or scrubbing. Stand under the warm water in the shower and just let it disolve, it's sugar so it just melts away. Trying to scrub it will just result in skin or hair being ripped off - lots of people don't realise this.

Thanks everyone for the tips. Messing up the clothing won't be a problem, because we're just going to buy a cheap bikini and then toss it afterwards. Only thing we really need to watch out for is anything that will ruin her hair.

I haven't heard of mixing those, but I'm definitely intrigued. What's a good powder-to-applesauce ratio?
The main thing to avoid mixing with hair is flour, and although there are ways to diminish this problem (involving oil and /or conditioner) if you've got someone who's wary of their hair it's probably better just avoided. Oatmeal / porridge can also be a pain to get out of hair. Mashed banana was also harder than you might think (don't ask!!). Most other water basd sweet substances are fine. A few ideas from our own experience below.
After some recommendations on here we had a great session with a couple of litres of molasses recently. Stunning black shiny look when poured over her, sticky in small quantities but, just as people said, simply "slimy" feeling with larger amounts. And, as has been said above, it just melted away under hot water in the shower. It even more or less washed out of the white clothing she was wearing to begin with. Looked almost as good as black paint and was sooo much easier to wash off
Another longstanding favourite is chocolate custard - can you get that in the States? Lovely texture, good and slippy. Vanilla custard has the same feel, but for me it looks more messy if its darker - adding cocoa powder to vanilla custard can achieve the same look. Washes out easily.
Cocoa powder and either oil or partly melted margerine gives a lovely dark brown colour and is really slippery. Chocolate spreads like Nutella look good but the texture's not great - too viscous, not slippery enough. Both of these do wash out but can take a while, though.
Yoghurt is OK. Certainly washes off easily. Seems to disappear rather readily, though, while you're playing, leaving just a slight stickiness. Ice cream - haven't dared use this straight from the freezer (yet - might be fun alternated with hot syrup) - melted it's been a bit of a disappointment - very liquid. Perhaps I need to buy more expensive (thicker) ice cream...
Finally jam (jelly in the US?) or lemon curd doesn't look great on its own, but makes the body nice and sticky to then dust with icing sugar or cocoa powder. Again, this is all pretty water soluble so washes out easily, though cocoa powder will leave pale clothing a dirty brown colour forever.
Have fun planning - strolls along the dessert aisle of the supermarket are so much more fun when looking for messy inspiration!
