Ok, before you watch I want to let you know that I am on the fence on this video not what I vision WAM to be about. I am not sure if this is staged or if these are random strangers. But, in light of a previous thread and also a video of a Brazilian clown getting unsuspected vitims I just want to find out if this is a niche of WAM? For me, a niche that if staged is cool but if random strangers are targeted I don't quite enjoy it. Others may though.
Is this something that some of our WAM community enjoys?
I really do not like these. personally. They are mean-spirited and violate what several of us called "consensual humiliation".(This from someone who is sponsoring a public pieing but has the pie target a willing and excited participant) It is more bratty than anything else. I am surprised that no one who was hit was able to track these to Youtube and have them taken down!
A. Nonny Moose said: No way these are not staged. Too much bad acting in the reactions.
Agreed. In most cases the cameras don't appear to be hidden - they have a clear, unobstructed view of the "target", each of whom shows no interest whatsoever as to why a total stranger is videotaping them.
Going back to the premise of the OP, however, if we assume the video is *intended* to show unaware strangers being pied, I 100% disagree with it and would never do it, and for one very simple reason: in most jurisdictions, it would likely be considered assault. I'm not prepared to go to jail for exercising my "kink". Never mind the ethical questions about involving the unwilling in a fetish activity - it's just plain illegal! :ahahah:
People have sued for less, I believe it's technically considered assault. Totally rigged for sure. Since it is (actors/actresses, staged) I guess I'm indifferent, it's fine. That acting tho.. =p
I've been thinking about this on and off since another clip was posted a while back. It is assault. This would not fly here in the states, and I don't believe it's an overreaction to think that. You can't touch someone without consent, simple as that. I can't even imagine how inconvenienced and embarrassed some of the subjects might have been. I'm surprised he wasn't beaten to death.
I'm not sure if those are staged (though the one where the kid climbs the fence did have me wondering why the victim didn't go for the kid's ankle instead of trying to climb too). The camera viewpoints are sufficiently far back that people might not realise filming is happening - could have been done on phones, rather than an obvious camcorder.
Anyone doing that to random strangers in the UK would be guilty of assault, possibly, if the authorities picked up any hint of fetish involvement, sexual assault.
Doing it in the US would be positively suicidal, with a high risk in many states of the perpetrator being shot, either by the victim or a bystander - just the other month a woman who saw a shoplifter trying to flee from a Home Depot pulled out her concealed pistol and opened fire on him. All it takes is someone who's instant thought-reaction isn't "slapstick comedy", but "terrorist chemical attack", and the pie-er goes down in a hail of bullets.
On top of which from a wam perspective this kind of thing is totally out of order. For me the second rule of fetish is "enthusiastic consent". Not just "yeah, OK, if you insist" but "woah, that sounds brilliant, yes please!" Deliberate set-ups with willing participants, fine (but it would need to say so in the credits), but actually pieing strangers, esp for fetish reasons, nope, no way.
I agree with Masher & DM1. I'm surprised he didn't get the crap beat out of him, or get blown away by someone's weapon!
And no, I wouldn't agree with it, if it is indeed real, and not staged.
And just like the clown pieing people on the escalator, he did the same. I'm always concerned that in their shock and disorientation, that they'll fall backwards and down the escalator.
