Tar (Fake)

McMudd's Fabulous Fake Tar Recipe

2 Cake batter mixes (a variety if you like), plus 2 c flour, if you want to make it thicker

2 cups water

At least 1/2 cup vegetable oil--This helps prevent the awful globs of flour that stay on your skin and hair after you think you're clean!

Mix this with a handheld electric mixer (dedicated to your messy concoctions) and add more flour or water to reach the thickness you like. *Keep in mind that you will be adding paint before the final consistency is reached. Some paint is thin and some is thick, so consider that, too.

When the mix is smooth and most lumps are gone, add:

At least 1 cup of black acrylic paint (I use thick, "heavy-bodied, " student grade acrylic) Add more if you want it really black and opaque.

1 jar marshmallow fluff--this adds the shine and a little of that slow drooling action (to buy in bulk) https://bit.ly/3g0vq5U

Mix again to fully incorporate the fluff and black color. *Other colors will work, too. You can use white cake or biscuit mixes and add white paint or other colors. The thickness and feel is fantastic.

Clean up is as easy as any kind of thick cake/pancake batter. Would be great in a big bucket for dumping or for use in pies!

Please give me your comments and variations!
