We Now Pay Out via Paypal.
In August 2011, Alertpay, the company who processed all our credit card transactions and performed all our weekly payouts to you, started having banking trouble.  Since they can no longer process any credit cards, and people in the USA are having withdrawal problems, we have switched to different processors.  We now process transactions via Epoch.com, and we make weekly payouts to you via Paypal.

Everyone with a download store needs to sign up to a Paypal account, then supply us with their new payment email address (the one used to sign up to Paypal) here.  Once you add this information, all past payments owed will be sent to your Paypal account.

Paypal is our only ongoing payout option at this time.  There have been (true) horror stories in the past about Paypal, but they mostly stem from real or perceived violations of their terms of use for processing credit card transactions for adult content, which they don't allow.  We do not process any credit card transactions via Paypal at all; We only use them to transfer payments from account to account, and they have already confirmed that this does not in any way violate their terms of use.

If you will not or cannot sign up to Paypal, then we are offering to pay you your final remaining balances via check, after which your store must be closed.  Please contact us if you are considering this option.  We are not offering regular ongoing payouts via check at this time.

Advertise for Free on the TV Page!
On UMD TV, the video content comes from producers like you. It is a place where you can showcase your trailers and teaser clips. While they are playing, a link to your site and other information will appear underneath the video! In addition, you can opt to have a bigass banner display under your video while it plays. Here's how to do it:

Step 1: Upload your video content to your bin, using the instructions here.
Step 2: Once the video is in your bin, click the "Add to TV" link to the right of it. Fill out the form and submit. We will review and approve it for rotation on the TV.

Another way: If you have an existing download for sale on your UMD store, you may take any of its videos and put it on the TV. Simply go edit that scene, and click "add to TV" next to the file you wish to rotate on the TV, and you're done. Note that any files in your download that you've specified as trailers are already rotating on the TV, so you don't have to add those.

To add your bigass banner under the TV, just go edit the site listing or download that you wish to promote, and scroll down to the advertising section. Upload some banners to the "FREE Large TV Page" section and submit. Repeat for every site or download you want to advertise. No credits are necessary, and UMD will automatically match up one of your banners with your videos while they are playing! Remember, the longer the video you upload, the longer your banner will display!

Webmaster Benefits
All users who own a site listing or an active download in the store are automatically considered UMD Premium users.  That means you are given unlimited access to the whole forum picture and video archives, including access to any archived dead videos.

Adding a Site
Listing a site is always free.  Go to your own profile and look to the left and you'll see "My Sites [add]."  Click the "add" link and you will get a blank form where you can create a new site listing.  After you submit the completed form, we will approve your site and it will show up in the What's New section as a new site.  If you ever want to edit your site after that, click on the "My Sites" link, and then "edit" next to the site listing that you want to change.  Changes do not need to be approved by admin.

What's New Section
Once your site is listed, you may want to plug it in the What's New section whenever it has been updated.  To do this, go to your own profile and click the My Sites link at the left, then "edit" next to the site you wish to plug.  Near the top, click the button labeled "Add to What's New."  There you can supply a description and a photo.  After you submit your plug, we will approve it and it will show up the next day after we approve it.  This is also free.

Site Gallery
To help you promote your site, we give you a gallery where you can add hi-res sample photos.  Just click on the "My Sites" link, then "edit" next to the one whose gallery you want to add pictures to.  Scroll down the form to the section labeled "Upload Photos to This Site's Gallery."  Use the buttons to choose photos from your hard drive.  Click the "More:" link under the buttons if you need more slots to upload more pictures.  You have limited space, so pay attention to the number of MB that it is saying you have left.  You are shown your current photos underneath the upload buttons, and you can delete any at any time. Note: your gallery will ONLY be shown to the public if you 1) currently have at least one advertisement rotating on the UMD, or 2) your site has an affiliate program to which we're a member of, or 3) if you, the site owner, are signed up to UMD Premium.

How to Advertise Sites or Downloads
The various ad banners and buttons around the site, including the Featured Sites section on the homepage, are all part of the UMD advertising system.  You may place ads for any site listing or scene that is on the download store.  To do this, you first must have credits in your personal UMD account.  To add credits, go to your own profile and look to the left where it says "Credits: [add]."  If you click on the "add" link, you are taken to our credit card processor where you can purchase blocks of advertising credits for your UMD account.  Once you purchase some, you will notice that your credit balance has been increased next to where it says "Credits:."

Once you have credits in your account, it's time to set up some ads.  To advertise for a site, go to your own profile and click on "My Sites" on the left, then "edit" next to the site listing you wish to advertise.  To advertise for a download, go to your own profile and click on "My Scenes" on the left, then "edit" next to the scene you wish to advertise.  On the next page, click on the "Advertise" button near the top, or scroll down and click the link that says, "Advertise This Site."  A new section will drop down consisting of slots for every advertising location around the site.  Find the location in which you wish to advertise, and read the details about it.  For example, if you want to advertise in the Featured Sites section, scroll down to that ad slot.  It will tell you the banner requirements for that section.  For example, the Featured Sites section requires 110 wide x 110 high banners.  Use the buttons to select banners on your hard drive;  Each ad slot has a different number of banners that you may upload, and they will be shown at random.  You do not need to fill every slot, as doing so will not increase the chances of your banner being shown.  Type a number in the field where it says, "Transfer credits."  This will move credits from your personal UMD account to that particular ad slot.  Notice where it says, "Costs 5 credits per click" for the Featured Sites ad slot.  This means that when somebody clicks on your ad in that location, 5 credits will be deducted from that ad's remaining credits.  Unless somebody clicks your ad, no credits will ever be deducted (meaning "impressions," or banner showings are free).  Once you've provided at least one banner and specified a number of credits for the ad slots you want to advertise in, you may submit the whole form by clicking "Save Now" at the bottom or in the middle.  Your ad will start rotating, provided that we've already approved your site.  If this site listing has a gallery, it will now be allowed to be shown to the public because you now have an active ad for that site.  The sites you advertise will also automatically show up underneath your forum posts under your signature.  Your ad will continue to rotate until it has no credits left, at which time you'll get a notice in your inbox that it has run out.

Note: When creating ads, click the Show Stats link in any ad location to get average stats for all of UMD's ads in that particular section.  This may help you to decide which sections you want to advertise in, and which are the most cost effective for you, given your site's conversion ratios, etc.

If you want to see how your ads are doing, just edit your site again and scroll down to check out the ad slots.  Complete statistics for each banner, and for the ad itself, are shown for each ad.  It's useful and interesting to see which banners are performing better than others.  You may upload different banners from time to time to keep them fresh, and delete old ones.  You may transfer more credits to the ads at any time.  You may pause your ad so it doesn't rotate.  You can also give an ad "negative" credits which transfers the credits back to your main UMD account.

The best banners intrigue visitors.  It is common to think that the most revealing, the most eye-catching, the most colorful ads perform the best.  But really, the ones that make the user say, "Hmmm, what is this all about" will get the most clicks, even if it's just one body part or a can of some substance.  Use your imagination!

Get unlimited credits for all your ads
Your web site may offer an affiliate program where we can link to your site and receive a fee for any signups originating from us.  If your site has such a program and we join it, we will then set your advertising locations to "unlimited credits" for that site.  This means that those ads will run even though they have no credits on them, but all clicks on your banners and the site listing itself will go through the affiliate link and we will get credit for those sales.  It's a nice alternative because you only "pay" a fee when somebody actually joins your site, not just for clicking on a banner when you might not make a sale.  Plus, you never have to worry about buying credits again.

Get 30,000 credits in exchange for a video
This long-running offer at iWam.com lets you give us a video, and we'll credit your account with 30,000 credits.  Your video will become part of iWam.com's permanent collection, displayed inside of its members area, along with appropriate credit to the producer and / or affilliated web site.  We accept any video of good quality that features women in clothed, nude, or xxx wam scenarios.  We only accept videos in digital formats (avi, mpg, mov, or wmv) that are at least 640 x 480 in size or larger.  Contact us using the contact form, and we will set up an ftp account where you can upload your videos.  You can upload any number of videos and we will give you another 30,000 credits for each one.  You will get all your credits at the time that we accept the videos, but we will actually put the videos on iWam.com at a later, undefined date.  The videos will remain your intellectual property, but taking part in this program denotes an unlimited license for us to host and distribute this video within iWam.com's members area, as well as to create a video trailer from it and to promote iWam.com on the internet using the trailer and screen caps from your videos.


Participating in the Download Store
Everybody who has an account on this site automatically gets a download store.  To add content to your store, go to your own profile and click the "Add New Scene" link.  This page has a ton of information about how to add stuff, what is acceptable, how to get paid, and much more, so read it thoroughly and it should answer all your questions.

We pay out weekly via paypal.com; Instructions for signing up to them is also on the "Add New Scene" page.  We must note that paypal charges you a fee for the money transfer itself.  This is out of our control, and separate from the percentage that we charge for selling your scenes on our store.

Security for your download content is very tight.  Users are NOT given new access codes for each of their purchases.  That method makes it easy for users to trade the code around and share their purchases.  Instead, users are required to actually sign up and log into a single account here, verifying their email address in the process.  Every new download that they purchase is added to their account, in their own My Downloads area, until it expires.  They have to log in to download purchased content, and users are much less inclined to share their own personal site login info than to pass around an anonymous access code.  And if they do share their personal logins, their IP address history is is logged and we can track down any attempts of multiple people to access any given account.

There are a number of free tools integrated into the download store, not mentioned on the "Add New Scene" page.  When you upload a video, our site automatically extracts frames from the video, and you can choose which ones you'd like to keep.  Once your site listing is submitted, if you go back and edit it again, scroll down and you will now see a button labeled, "Get zip file of all generated frames."  This is an easy way to grab all of those frames in case you want to use them to plug on the forum, or even somewhere on another site.

There is a watermarking utility for photos.  If you edit any existing scene, look near the top under "Included Files:" and next to every zip file, you will see a link entitled, "Watermarking Utility."  You will also see this link near the bottom where it shows your Current Gallery.  Clicking these links takes you to the watermarking utility which will add a logo of your choice to that batch of photos.  You get to choose a small logo from your computer, and pick a corner in which to place the logo.  We will show you a nondestructive preview of a few photos, so you can tell if you like the results.  If you like what you see, you'll be able to commit that watermark to all photos in the zip file or gallery.  The watermarking cannot be undone.  A neat feature is that if you upload a .png-format watermark logo, transparency will be enabled.  This means that if you are advanced, you can use your graphics program to specify a transparency mask, which is a way to make a great-looking drop shadow or otherwise prevent just a plain square watermark from showing up.  Again, you'll be able to preview how it looks before committing.



Add vids to the TV, and get free advertising there!
Anyone can upload videos that will rotate on the TV page.  It's great for sharing rare clips or donating your original movies (for promotion), or even hosting your trailers.  If you are a webmaster or download store owner, you can advertise for free via a huge ad that will display underneath all of your videos the whole time they play (instructions on that later).

To add a video to the TV, simply go to your Add New Scene page (linked from the left side of your profile page) and follow the instructions on how to upload videos via either the upload form, or FTP.  Once the video shows up in your bin, you will see an "add to TV" link to the right of it.  Click that link and fill out the brief form to supply its title, description, categories, etc.  Once you submit the video, we will review and approve it to be included in the TV rotation.  You may remove a video from the TV area by deleting the whole scene. (View your TV scenes by clicking "Show TV Scenes" from your My Scenes area).

You may also send any video that's already in your store to the TV, without uploading it again.  Just edit the scene that the video is in, and near the top, where you see a list of "included files," you will see links to "add to TV" next to each video in the download.  Clicking this link immediately adds the video to the TV without need for you to write any descriptions or for it to be approved.  You may take the file back off of the TV area by editing the download scene again and clicking the "remove from TV" link.  Note that all "free trailers" are already in rotation on the TV, so you don't have to add those.

Your videos will be shown at random on the TV.  Recently-added videos, highly-rated videos, and longer / higher-quality videos have a higher probability of being shown first.  Full viewing of the TV area is only for Premium members, but users who have active downloads or site listings are able to view the TV as well.  Guests (non-Premium members) are shown a small selection of shorter, randomly-selected videos.

Webmasters and download store owners may advertise underneath the TV area for free.  The banner ads underneath change every time a new video begins playing.  You may set it up so that while your videos are playing, we will exclusively show one of your huge, 650x110 banner ads.  And it never uses any credits!  It's easy to set up: Just edit one of your site listings or downloads, and scroll down to the advertising area.  Find the ad location labeled "FREE Large TV Page" and upload one or more banners there.  Repeat for each site listing or download you wish to advertise there.  Now, any time one of your videos plays, one of your ads will be shown underneath it, and not anyone else's!  Note that the longer the video you upload, the longer your ad will be displayed.  Also, the higher the quality and larger in dimensions it is, the higher the priority that it will be played as one of the first videos.
