Saw something on you tube recently that disturbed me some. Type in "Clothed" in the search box and you get all kinds of "wetlook" options from pools, showers, baths, dares, etc... Some are trailers of videos of producers we know here on UMD. Most submitted by private individuals from backyard pools, lakes, rivers and their own showers/bathtubs. What disturbed me was the comments left by viewers pertaining a a video of a 14(?) year old girl dunking herself in a bathtub on a dare - wearing jeans and a black T-shirt. The content of the video wasn't disturbing - after all, I'm sure most of us got our first taste of wet clothes while children. Some of the video comments however were of an "R" or "X" - rated variety. Doesn't You Tube screen for comments? While some of the commenters were taken to task ("This a 14 year old - you should be ashamed perv!"), others questioned the thinking of the child or wondered if their parents were in on this? Kids wear their clothes in public fountains, dunk tanks, public beaches, lakes & rivers all the time. Does viewing it (either live or online) constitute "child porn"? I'm curious to other people's thoughts?

Clearly not--otherwise YT comment threads wouldn't be the lowest possible form of communication, as they are now. I think TiedPiedGirls had major issues with YT commentators harassing their models. And of course, YT doesn't closely monitor the reporting process, at least for videos.



That depends on context, I think. I believe that the inclusion of any kids, in any sort of context, in a video posted here on the UMD would be inappropriate unless it's obvious that the cameraman is trying to avoid getting the kid in the shot. I believe that's more or less forum policy. However, that's only good here, and since YT has grown way, way too big to be effectively policed, there are bound to be pervs on the roam.

I am of the opinion that it's up to the person to decided whether or WAM is child porn.

I do think that UMD does a great job of keeping the suspect clips out and does a better job then some other forums.

The problem with youtube is people don't need to take ownership of their comments, and so you'll have clowns saying stuff they wouldn't be caught dead saying in a million years in person. Another problem is the mythical "free speech" that every one loves throwing around.

Most people with a WAM kink are sane and decent human beings. However, we know at least a few are insane monsters because of this behavior. Countless YouTube videos, including some featuring adults, display clothed swimming, foodfights, mudlarking, etc. Though some of these are excerpts from media intended to be erotic, some of them depict messy fun that was never regarded as erotic by the participants or most viewers. However, if you have a very low IQ and an equally impaired capacity for relating to other human beings, it is possible to regard every "jump in the lake" or "muddy fun" video as if it were crafted with the specific purpose of exciting WAM fetishists.

The YouTube situation reveals at least a couple of self-hating WAMmers -- people who cannot handle that reality about their preferences and thus feel an overwhelming need to lash out at anyone who produces potentially exciting imagery. The low IQ assessment simply must be true, because a person of average or better intelligence would have no trouble simply turning away from (rather than dwelling on and micro-ranting about) such stimuli. Somehow these dimwits are blind to (or proud of) their nuisance value but keenly aware of their own delusions about serving as unofficial YouTube/Internet police. Instead of protecting people from what they see as inappropriate sexualization, they introduce sexual thinking into entirely non-sexual situations, often involving children.

In an ideal society, these people would be institutionalized, medicated, and only released once their severe psychological disorders were under control. Thanks to decades of "rugged individualist" politics, they are left to their own devices, leaving them and countless others who experience their insane idiocy to experience a diminished quality of life.

please stop confusing individualism and free speech for people who are really disturbed in the head/need help, and a bunch of schmucks on Youtube making asses of themselves respectively, ok?

That has absolutely zero to do with free speech and individualism.

And just so you know, if neither of those two were present, you wouldn't even be able to type this on these forums, because they wouldn't exist:

conformity would keep you from your fetish, and free speech would prevent you from voicing your criticisms...or even telling Anglefan and many others what you want to see, for that matter.

Just remember: there's a good chance that the girls posting those videos can see the comments being left, and are free to disable them; if they chose not to, that says just as much about them as it does about those posting the comments.
