Also, while I'm sure the overwhelming majority of models and their associates are upstanding citizens, I understand entirely why someone might not be comfortable inviting a relative stranger into one's own home. Even if some of the participants can't shake a "we're up to something naughty" vibe, a significant portion of any hotel's business involves couples and small groups giving off that vibe -- whether or not any videos are to be produced. Experienced staff will know to respect the privacy of guests so long as the "we're up to something naughty" vibe doesn't emanate from a group including children and the noise level is under control enough to avoid complaints from neighboring rooms.
I suspect for most WAM shoots in hotels, the event isn't even the weirdest thing to occur on the premises that day. Personally, I prefer studio or outdoor scenes over scenes shot in an indoor space not designed for the purpose. That said, a convincingly candid scene works for me in a hotel if the context is plausible, and I have no trouble appreciating any hotel shoots if the combination of model(s), outfit(s), and substance(s) otherwise mixes together in a manner otherwise pleasing to my sensibilities. After all, it isn't cheap to rent studio space in most cities, and building one in your home takes us back to the original problem.
