Quick note that if you have a domain name that you'd like to use for your virtual store, you can. Just update the Website Domain Name field on your Store & Sale Setup page, then contact your registrar to update the DNS records to point to ns1.softlayer.com and ns2.softlayer.com. Let me know and I'll take care of the rest.

The domain name won't stick; Rather it will redirect to yourstore.umd.net.
