Yep, it's a bit frustrating not being at the shoots, but I have never really attended. I always hire a professional crew - either wam experts like The Kolawskis & Noise when I first started, or my current team who are a mix of film & TV people (depending on who is free!), and I like to think that is what keeps the level up.
If I was there, I have a feeling it would be hard to remain professional and I'd be shouting directions and stuff, then feeling very stupid!
I also think the way we work is one of the reasons that we get to work with some top models like Amy - because the guys shoot 'normal' glamour a lot, the girls know and trust them, and say yes to a messy shoot for us on that basis...some of them like it so much they end up shooting for other producers as well!
