You know...I get that the quicksand and mud and such fit into WAM...but couldn't it be said that having videos that basically end with the "death" of the character is no different than posting gore-related WAM? I'm sure there's some who are into this, but it's basically a simulated snuff film to be honest =/ even if the actress herself is fine afterwards, in-story she's quite dead and rather difficult to become interested in knowing that fact that she won't be around much longer.

I guess I'm just not seeing how we can say that we don't want to see gore-death related attempts at WAM (even fake blood), but there's nothing wrong with a video simulating death by suffocation in quicksand.

I agree with you. Much of the appeal of wam stems from the humiliation aspect which - twisted as I am! - I personally enjoy. But here's the thing: I am not victimised if it is turning me on. This, however, seems to take victimisation to a whole new level. I accept I could be taking the whole thing waaaaay too literally - but the word 'perish' also makes me uneasy. I'm no prude but I have to say this is a little outside even my comfort zone...!!

I have to say that, deep mud/quicksand has been one of my all time favorites. I remember watching movies such as Tarzan just to see Jane either get wet, muddy, or sink in quicksand. Now that, that's said. I don't like to see the victim die in the movies Jane was always saved. There is something sexy about the women being pulled out of the muck all muddied up. I like the full sink and the save is what I guess I'm trying to say.

I see I'm not the only one questioning this one lol. Been roughly a year since the last discussion actually, maybe it's time for another one.

Note that I'm not questioning the quicksand itself or it's muddy qualities, I'm question the constant death-of-character that happens in SO MANY of these. When the girl is pulled out, I "yay!". When she isn't...*cough* I droop.

I guess I'm just trying to imagine explaining to a friend about how WAM is about messy stuff, but not blood or other bodily fluid mess and stuff and that it's mostly meant to be lighthearted, and then we have a section of it that basically ends in a scripted death in nearly every single video.

The author clearly put the word "perish" in the title. If it is "outside your comfort zone", then why you giving yourself discomfort by opening the thread.

Folks sometimes need a little perspective. These are films. Not real life caught on tape. The girls are actresses, the quicksand is a set. The producer wrote what happens. When the shoot is over, the producer has a new scene to publish, the actress has made a few bucks, and the fans have a new scene in which to lose some bucks.

If you are going to condemn this sort of clip, then you might as well comdemn horror films like "Friday the 13th", "Halloween", and "Saw" in general, because that is why moviegoers go to those films, mainly, is to watch how characters get killed.

And if you are going to condemn it as a fetish that is too weird, well, that might be a little bit of the pot calling the kettle, because some might say the same about what you do.

The only reason I can see that anyone who doesn't like this sort of clip is posting here is that it is their declaration that they don't want things posted here that is personally outside their "comfort zone".

The problem with that is it may not be outside of other peoples comfort zones. The only person's opinion that really matters is Messmaster, of course.

And so far, he has shown no problem with it.

True, a lot of people would think what I do is weird. I not only accept that but agree with it.
However you are totally wrong to suggest I am 'condemning' people. And for you to suggest - based on my posting above - that I am somehow making the point that it shouldn't be posted here leads me to suggest that you spend too much time playing with your lightsaber and not enough time reading what people actually write. This simulated death stuff is way outside my comfort zone but if others like it that's fine by me. I am merely stating my own view about the content. Knighty-boy this is a discussion forum after all.

I, myself, am not a fan of horror films. There have only been a handful of really good ones. Most are either poorly made for a quick buck or just stupid.



Well, first off, nobody dies. The actor/actress goes home healthy and happy with extra cash in their pocket from the shoot. Just like in a horror film shoot.

And I think most people not into this stuff will look at this site and an 'in peril' site and just think weird is weird.

General consenus means nothing on a message board. Forums, by nature are not democracies. They are dictatorships (or sometimes juntas ). The person(s) that created the board writes the laws and sets the rules. Don't take that as a criticism. That is the way it should be. It's their board and they should do what they want.



When he becomes aware of it? Why does everybody here here put on this big front like these kind of clips are something new to them? I'm sure MM is aware these type of clips exsist on the web. They have for years.

It may (or may not) shock you to know noise, that several of the producers here (both current and former), and many of the models/actresses that do the WAM work here we enjoy so much, have done 'in-peril' clips. They've done many of those type of clips b/c they get paid well for them.

If MM decides this board isn't the place for those clips, then fine. Doesn't bother me. I am not some big 'in-peril' fan. I usually don't buy them myself. I just always found it amusing watching folks rush on to these threads to turn their nose up in the air as if it made them feel justified in their own strange fetish ("Well, at least my weird fetish isn't as bad as your weird fetish").
