Here's a couple stills I found of Ann Margret covered in paint from THE SWINGER. I think you will all agree that it's one of the best WAM scenes ever filmed by Hollywood. Sorry they're small and they've got that logo in the middle of them.

The quality looks much sharper than previous images I've seen which were screen captures from VHS tapes. I'm wondering if The Swinger has been re-released on DVD at some point in time?

It is on DVD. However, most prints have a censored one minute version of the scene, while the full version is close to five minutes! Not sure whch version the DVD has.

oh for a blu-ray version!!

Amazing how Ann Margaret's in two of the most famous wam scenes in mainstream movies of all time, the Swinger and Tommy. The only one who keeps up, and maybe even surpasses her is Kathleen Turner, with pretty major mud scenes in at least 3 movies, Romancing the Stone, The Man with Two Brains and Undercover Blues

THE SWINGER has not been released on DVD. It did run on TCM from a crisp-looking (although cropped) master a year or two ago, and I believe there was some discussion here of the purported cuts to the paint scene at that time. These images look like production stills rather than frame captures, though.

I'll let my picture do the talking for me!

Yep, but none of those are even remotely as sexy as Ann Margaret's scenes.

Ann Margret is what got me into WAM. I saw the Tommy scene first then a few years later I saw The Swinger and they have become my all time favorite WAM scenes. The Kathleen Turner scenes are great too but Ann Margret always wins out.

I just saw Tommy in the theater and it was great.

Hmmm... I think you should suggest Marilicious do a tribute 'remake'' now that the weathers getting too cool for outdoors??

One of the most tragic lost mainstream WAM scenes -- at least from the perspective of us pie fans -- is one in which Ann Margaret took a pie in the face in an early 70's TV special she did. There's at least one or two folks here at the UMD who actually saw this scene back in the day. From one of their accounts, she was playing a young star new to showbiz who had to do "dirty work" for an established star -- i.e. be the stand-in for a pie in the face scene.

It's not lost. It's on a bootleg dvd and the show is called "From Hollywood With Love". It's not that great as the camera doesn't get the best shot of her face.
