Robby some time ago you had mentioned you had a copy of the Elvira Mistress of the Dark episode where Elvira received a pie in the face at the end. You even explained the set up and punch-line.

Sadly, nothing every materialized out of that and all we have of that scene is an ultra-brief clipette from some Dick Clark Blooper show from the 80s.

Can you single this down, perhaps we can uncover and find this lost WAM treasure. I seem to recall you mentioned the movie was w/ Vincent Price, but that probably doesn't narrow it down very well since he made so many horror movies.

I tried to find this clip myself, and I think the closest I got was determining it occurred in '83 or '84. Someone else posted on an Elvira forum with the same question and the webmaster himself didn't know.

I thought your link would provide downloads of all the Movie Macabres, but unfortunately these are just the released DVDs that have been out for years. (Unless I'm missing something.) As you can see, you basically get 12 episodes collected on a handful of DVDs. The total amount of MM episodes total over 120.

So yeah, basically Shout Factory has less than 1/10th of the Elvira episodes. And I don't think that clip is on any of them. Although it would be nice to discover the exact episode, on the off chance a collector has this on tape.

I do have the full clip................SOMEWHERE.

When I moved about 3 years ago.....a ton of boxes got shipped to the wrong place including some of my good ole WAM tapes.....two boxes never were recovered...and I have never gone through the tapes to see if it's still there.

Just have no time these days to do that...but when I do..and I find it..I shall gladly post.

You may be able to get some information from WAMTEC as they list a scene on one of their cliptapes being from 1983

I think the brief clip you refer to was actually from "Life's Most Embarrassing Moments" which aired in 1984. Timing wise the two seem to fit.

RobbyWLP: Thank you, too, for the reply. I would never pressure you, you're a chill dude and have always been a great contributor. I also seem to recall you said the scene itself was average. Honestly, wow, I don't know about that. The little we've seen suggests it was an amazing hit with great coverage. Elvira in the 80s was a legitimate sex symbol, mostly thanks to her large breasts, but even still it'd be nice to see. We only got less than 1-1/2 seconds of the scene. Even if it only went on 2-3 seconds beyond that, it'd still be nice to get some closure on it. If you can find the time, it would be great to see.

bhguytr: Wamtec only has the brief clip which is commonly circulated. It's available on youtube right now, if I recall.

Wow..I said it was average? I don't even remember THINKING that. I even thought the 1.5 second clip was good. Maybe I was more picky back then..lol.
