Hi
I just wanted to point out that above or below every, picture posted, every thread started, every comment made on that thread, every clip for sale, in fact in nearly every conceivable part of UMD there is a heart logo associated with the work.
Every time you click on this heart you are showing the member concerned your appreciation of the work they have done and made available to you, more often than not totally free of charge, what clicking on this heart logo does is award a number of points to that member then during and at the end of the day the points are used to calculate things like the Wammer of the day award, the hottest pics, positions in charts, things that mean something to the member and often encourage them to continue to contribute, hopefully continuing to bring us more in the future.
Now I just wanted to say this on this forum we regularly have threads that get views in the thousands, we get pics that get views in the thousands, we get free trailers that are downloaded in the thousands yet some of our highest numbers of hearts awarded to any one pic, and these are pics that have been available for quite some time, is in the 20-40 range, that's 20-40 members out of thousands that have viewed it and taken the time to click on the pics heart, so that means only one of two things, either....
1. These pics are actually so god awful only 20-40 people out of thousands like them and as a result those 20-40 people are now dictating what kind of pics will appear on UMD in future...or, as I suspect
2. people are either not bothering to click because they didn't know it was there, what it meant, how it worked or just couldn't be bothered.
Well let me tell you it is free to click a heart, it is discrete to click a heart, no one will know it was you and further more it is a fantastic way to encourage some of the great members who make this place what it is to continue to do so.
So, Please, Please, Please click on the heart when you like something and show your appreciation.
thank you very much
Jonn
