Hi all,
Not posted in a while, not even sure if I'm recognized around here but here goes anyways. Over the past year or so, I find myself flicking through WAM and disregarding alot of it because it isn't "what I'm looking for" or the female involved hasn't got green eyes. Ok I'm exagerating a touch, but I find myself being picky over the whole situation, whether its indoor or out, what they are wearing, etc etc, I know everybody has their personal preferences but mine are very pinpointed and I kind of annoy myself because I know I am being to choosy and it sometimes makes me think I'm going off WAM, when I think it's the best and craziest fetish to have. I have got a very choosy/picky/fussy personality so maybe it's just the way I am but I was wondering whether anybody else has gone through phases or is like this all the time? Just to overcap, I am a 22 year old male, still never told a soul about it and don't plan to yet. Thank in advance, Jon x

you are right, wam lately has become banlal, and the lack of imagination is down to main stream producers who are pushing out their version wam with little or no effort. just a girl sat and a pie or gunge poured over, or stuck up to her waist in mud over & over, then offered up as wam,it is getting obvious that it is made simply to get more for less.I would like to see more of a industrial type wam theme, where pipes of gunge pour over girls, in uniforms or fetish outfits, or they have to clean out sludge tanks out .also to have story line weaved in , would be good.any way back to the pies ect......

There are a LOT of non-mainstream producers making messy videos.

As for the industrial thing... do the math of producing it, then how many people buy it and you see why it's not easy.

I'm having a gungetank built right now and it's NOT cheap, it's a logistical challenge and that's before a camera has rolled...

I think selectivity is an inevitable consequence of proliferation. Once upon a time, the community only had the Usenet and a handful of Web sites to provide access to content. Many of us looked at a new gallery of mud volleyball pics so small they would be considered thumbnails in 2011 as if we had found a magnificent treasure. Now some of those same people review a huge gallery of gorgeous women trashing one another's pretty clothes and have thoughts like, "I wish that one didn't have an obvious tattoo" or "it's a shame a couple of them are in sweaters."

Considering why this is taking place, I believe we should be less upset at ourselves for being particular and more pleased with the growing body of producers each able to express their own artistic vision and better cater to the like-minded among us. Depending on the future arc of it, this would be either the silver age or the golden age of WAM erotica. In the 90s, this thing of ours emerged from obscurity and only as much output as the personal passions of (mostly hobbyist) producers could generate. It is now a phenomenon that accommodates a wide range of sub-specialties. For those of us who have specific tastes, this is not a worrying development -- it is welcome progress.

I wouldn't blame the producers, I just think it's the nature of having so many options available so quickly. We've hit a point where we have the luxury of browsing a bunch of different WAM sites/videos whenever we like, so naturally we'll be dulled to it. I remember as a kid staying up late at night to watch one ten-second WAM scene in a movie, while nowadays I might not even take a few seconds to save the same scene because I don't want to wait the 30 seconds rapidshare makes me wait.

That's the problem with having everything at our fingertips so easily - things stop feeling special.

I like a bit of variety, to keep updates suprising and mixed, and skits / *plot*, rather than "hello you're here to be gunged". Gillysillyhouse or the older Gungegirls / B2bm stuff are probably the closest I can think of.

I've always longed to see some of the classic wam stories performed as videos - esp. Shireburgh stories, or any of the many great wam stories in the story archives.

I agree, variety is the spice, but it is probably difficult for producers to keep coming up with new ideas that can be done at reasonable cost. As Noise said, it's expensive . Think of the cost of recreating the better wam stories - it would be prohibitive. Unfortunately I also agree with the original post that some prods content is getting very "samey", and that my niche is not being catered for much.
But again, as has already been said - look at the choice we have now as opposed to the early days

Personally speaking I find myself being more picky exactly because there is so much choice out there but one thing I do not like at all is what I refer to as lazy gunge and that is the numerous coloured gunges made from that chemical they all use rather than pies, cakes, custard and that sort of things in general. It's important to me that whether it be mud or mess it has some form of believable feel to it like a girl accidently falls in mud or somehow becomes covered in food maybe by accident or an overwhelming urge to satisfy herself that way. So I think many of you are correct in saying a lot of work is very convenient and to be honest quite boring.
As I say to any wammer who asks my advice about getting their partner involved that the one thing you don't want to do is use what I call the "Slap it on and slip it in" technique and I'm afraid in a way this is what a lot of productions have become.

A few things.

First, have any of you sent these ideas to producers? Unless we say something about what we want, producers have very little in finding that out. Yes, they could look over sales receipts of videos, but this is a relatively small market and there are a lot of producers.

Second, some of our ideas are probably too specific for producers. One of the videos I'd like to see would be an Asian girl with straight black hair in a shiny orange soccer ("football" to you people outside of North America ) uniform diving for balls in deep, gooey-thick mud. Now, I'm sure people would buy the video, but if we all have specific things we want, who are going to be the ones that get them? We could order customs, but most of us don't want to pay more than $10 for a video. It's tough, and I appreciate all that producers do.

It's not "settling," it's appreciating what we have.

Thanks for all your replies guys, from what I have heard I would say that yes, we are taking things for granted because we have so much free content available these days with the likes of youtube etc. And let's be honest when we watch our favourite wam video 46 times we get bored of it so we want something new. I guess it's just waiting around for that new content to arrive and then fade out and so it continues. Some people are obviously more easily please than others and don't want anything specific but that's just not me. I guess I'll just have to be patient. Thanks Jon x

There's a continuous storyline to the entire site at Saturation Hall (and we do a fair bit of industrial clothing too), but TBH no-one ever comments on the plot lines, I just keep doing it because it's fun to write. Natrasol, and its cousins. Having used it once for a major public WAM event, I really do not understand why the big producers go on using it, it's horrible to work with and a nightmare to get off the girls afterwards, real gunge (tm) is much easier, be it custard, treacle, mud, or savouries. That's why we've always stuck to the real stuff at the hall.

Due to the nature of wam it's very difficult to go into too much detail with acting and dialogue - most of the girls have little or no acting experience, there is little time or reason for them to memorize lines, and if the script calls for a line just as mess is 'applied', especially early on in the scene, and something goes wrong, to reset probably involves a lot of effort and cost (multiple costumes and cleaning). I'm with john on this one - there needs to be some sort of effort involved in creating a mood or reason and whatever else can be worked around that is a bonus. I personally love trying different ideas and scenarios - I have a long list I’ve yet to try, but I'm always open to more suggestions.
