Thursday will be my first messy photo shoot. The model is very keen to do some paint photos, but I've never used paint. The look we will be going for is drippy rather than spray or daubing. So I was hoping to use poster paint. But I'm worried that she might end up looking like the wicked witch of the west for the next three weeks. Is poster paint the way to go? Without staining her potential income for the next month???
In my experience, most Tempra paint right out of the bottle is pretty safe except for the blue color. It tends to stain skin for a couple of days. I would recommend thinning it out a bit with water or by dumping it into a gallon of methylcellulose goo before applying. I've never had a staining problem when mixing it with some other substance.
