Anything at all that is overdone can get boring after awhile.
True fetishes, though, don't generally die out totally. If his erotic drive is hard-wired into this messy thing, it is highly unlikely to totally go away.
I don't know him personally, but for most people who are afflicted with one, "Fetish Boredom" is temporary. After some time off from indulging, they suddenly feel the old urges spontaneously resurfacing.
What's kind of a bummer here is that you have learnt to like it and you don't sound like you're quite ready to give it up! I do think he should be aware that you have fun doing this. In your shoes, I'd try not to pressure him (whining and begging are usually not effective) but yes, I'd make it clear that whenever he'd like to pick it up again, I'm ready, willing and able!
Do I get bored with my WAMming?
Um...well, my WAMming is different from what you do...I'm just a mud girl. Although it's pretty deep stuff.
And I usually get to a mudpit once a week while it's not frozen. I got to admit that there are times when it seems like I sure do a lot of work just to get way out there. It's especially laborious this time of year, when I need to lug the cold-weather gear with me. It is always almost exactly the same routine, too. I don't do video this time of year. I can't do the over-my-head mud either. When it's cold, I generally try to get mud that's a bit over my waist.
It's ironic. I'm technically a quicksand fetishist which should be all drama, danger, thrills and peril, but there's NOTHING very dangerous about what I really and truly do. In fact, it's almost exactly the same thing every single time.
Once I get into the mud, I perk up a lot. It no longer seems boring at all. Once I'm in I'm happy and it feels good and I forget that I spent an hour and a half on the journey and will spend another hour and a half getting home.
And it helps a lot that I love nature for its own sake. When I'm not feeding my fetish, I still go to natural places just to absorb their beauty and take down the stress level of Life.
I probably won't get bored doing this but I do think that I will slow down and it will get harder and less comfortable, and one day I will stop. The pie folks can take a pie in the face no matter how old they ever get but I got a feeling that crawling cattail beds in the wilderness to get into very deep mud may be over for me before I'm, um...70?
