Living most of my life in a small city with miles of farmland in every direction, I know well how serious this is. About once per month some teenager in my county dies while out driving like a maniac. It is not rare to see wildly irresponsible drivers on the lightly traveled (and lightly policed) two lane highways hereabouts. Local journalists always seem to play up some kind of drug angle, but I remember from my own teen years -- it is mostly the stupidity of youth, that false sense of immortality, behind the accidents.
However, this raises an interesting side issue. I didn't find this clip particularly hot even though, intellectually, I knew that was stage blood and theatrical urgency. Horror films have produced plenty of scenes I might otherwise enjoy but for the fact that a woman experiencing pain or terror instantly desexualizes any moment for me. Those same actresses, removed from the dramatic moment (but not their filthy clothes) could easily excite me. Distress of the "oh! My pretty blouse is ruined!" sort may actually give me a little extra charge, but when injury becomes a factor, my erotic mind shuts down entirely. I imagine thus is not uncommon, but I've always wondered what others think.
