Victoria Lee took a dip in MudDoug's amazing clay pit today. She was a little difficult to direct, but she enjoyed the experience. As you can see she wears it quite well.

I'll be editing, and uploading the video at some point this week. I'd like to thank MudDoug, and Heather. Without them this never would have been possible. They are really good folk. Buy all their videos!

Hey, BigSam. I can't wait to see what you make of this video. It was great to finally meet you and shoot something collaboratively.

Next summer, when the nights are warm, again, we should set up a nighttime shoot. I can light the entire pit with artificial lights. That gives an entirely different ambiance and we have total control of the light. I might squeeze in a nighttime shoot this year, but it will probably be pretty chilly.

Having her in direct sun would have been worse because I would have had to drop my exposure more. The shadow detail is actually quite good, since I was able to expose mostly for shadows.

I had prayed for a cloudy day, but god doesn't pay much attention to me. That's why I'm thinking of a night shoot with artificial lights. Life as a videographer is so much easier with low contrast lighting! ;)

While my video quality is good, Doug's is outstanding. Its seriously the best looking footage I've ever seen in a wam video. Its too bad none of you get to see it, mwahaha. Nah, I'll figure something out.

I'm gonna teach myself to use Sony Vegas this week. I lose too much resolution, and the shadows get darker using my other programs. I learned a lot working with Doug. If any of you get a chance to work with him don't pass it up. He's a real wiz.

That pit looks great.

Some of it was pretty good. I'm still figuring that camera out. I really need the viewfinder gizmo.

I wish I could recommend something for Windows, but I haven't used Windows for editing in a decade. If you're seeing changes in luminance, it's probably a gamma shift. You might look for a gamma correction tool/filter in your software.

I was there, Regis, just not in a model capacity. I took some good pics that I'll be sending to BigSam if I ever find my way back to my computer again....but don't worry; Victoria and I will be making another filthy mess soon, I'm sure.
