You might have noticed a new mod lurking around here, who has an icon similar to mine. It's Messmistress! She is my lady, and she will be around us a lot more. I thought it appropriate to make a formal introduction.
Messmistress has actually been around the wam scene for over 6 years with me. She has been my "offline support" for UMD for all those years. But she has her own career and limited time. While maintaining this site is my full-time job, her involvement was always limited to consoling me when I'm battling code or debating a producer about download store policy.
Now, by her own expressed interest to be more involved with this community, she is going to be helping out around the place! Mostly behind the scenes though. But feel free to hit her up and say hi.
So can we please have a warm welcome for... Messmistressssss!!!
When I first saw your avatar appear somewhat recently, I thought you were new to the UMD, but obviously hooked up somehow with MM. Then your profile said "here since 1998"; I figured that I must have missed something all this time!
So it's good to have a formal introduction by Messmaster! Now we have some idea of who you are, without the speculation!

Six years is a long time to be quietly behind the scenes. Being the Messmaster of UMD is a huge job. He does it very well but I am glad to see that you have come on board to help.
