I don't check the male wam forums that often. But I'm just curious about something. Is most of the material in the male wam forums done for/by gay men or for women's enjoyment. Obviously both are probably looking at this part of the UMD, but I'm wondering more about what the intention is.

Only gonna speak for myself here...

I started posting YouTube stuff simply so that I could share my escapades/misfortune with people, and that they would find it silly/funny. The understanding with me after watching the videos is that I'm gay, though I don't find anything wrong with this. (It's usually just a misunderstanding that irons itself out after people get to know me.) But when you do this kind of stuff, you figure out pretty quickly that the female contingent isn't really there. Like I said though, catering to them, though my preference, was never my sole intention.

Well i can say that i have sold hundreds of videos and only one woman has ever bought one. So yeah its gay men.

I think it is obvious that the gay male population here outnumbers the female population.

Both gay men and straight men have posted here. I don't know the proportions, though. And as for who's who, I've only figured out a few of them.

I would guess, because I do it myself, that most people who post pictures or videos here (or anywhere) imagine the gender of their preference enjoying it. At least this is true for me. When I make and post clips, I'm thinking primarily about the reaction of men. I can honestly say that I have never made even one clip with lesbians in mind.

So by this reasoning, a gay man would be making clips for gay men while heterosexual men are likely to be fantasizing and hoping that a woman will see it.

But...if...you're gonna put it up, you don't get to pick who likes it! And I'm quite sure that a lot of guys who post here are fine with that, because another motivation to make WAM clips is simply the fun of doing it!

I favor the viewpoint that the Male Wam forum is here for anyone who likes Male Wam, be they male or female!

I am straight and open minded (possibly the original guy that started the ball rolling with Male WAM sites) and I have always said that if you can get pass the thought that men look at your material and can just think that is it just for fun then I don't think it matters what the ratio of men to women is!

well whats the intention of posting pics of women getting messy? There isnt a str8 anwser (pun intended) kinda of a why ask why. There is a womens section that is for everyone to see lesbians and straigt men and straight women, its for everyone to see.

Then mens section is the same, its just that we are guys that like to share our pics of our fun and not lurke and a bit of rush to get a reaction from folks. I've always suspected that there are a lot more women lurking on these forums than anyone suspects.

There are a lot of factors that keep women from speaking up. Fear of strangers. Fear of being hit on by men she doesn't want (especially if she's taken, anyway). Fear of embarrassment. Fear of being stalked, harrassed, tracked down and attacked somehow.

There are only two things that seem to reliably work to bring women onto these forums. The first is to hire her as a model. That works well...we have a lot of them here.

And the second is, her love interest (husband or boy friend) leads the way in.

I am neither one of these and how I got in here almost never happens.

I had a pre-existing fetish that had always bothered me, and I went online looking to fill this need somehow. I found a quicksand website and it looked so right for me that I contacted the webmaster. Lo and behold, he wrote back and we hit it off. He never was my boy friend, though. He was married with a family. Ten years later, he still is married with a family.

But he was able to take me to my first good mudpit.

What I'm getting at is, I really think women need to meet somebody they can trust. It doesn't have to be a love interest. It just has to be a guy who can prove that guys who like this thing can be totally okay.

If she never does meet a trusted friend, and I really do think that most of them don't, then even if they love this fetish, they will mostly watch and fantasize. Nothing would stop such a woman from posting occasional messages here but her profile could be gender-neutral or even state that she is male to keep away "the bad guys"!

I must say, in my humble opinion, that the Male WAM forum is more open minded and more friendly then the other sections. I am not knocking the Messy or Wetlook sections but the amount of "moderating" for Male WAM is zero. That speaks volumes. This section seems more supportive of others, a true community.

I was a single muddy gal and one or two guys I found were trust worthy and I might have considered meeting one of them seriously if he hadn't be so dratted far away (across an ocean far away). Eventually I had to pull away from that because angsting over someone an ocean away isn't profitable in the long run. I still consider him a friend though. The fear of being hit on doesn't bother me as much as you think but in general I do not accept random Wammers friending me and I'm pretty discriminating even then (I.E. I look to see if they have a common interest). Even then I make pains to stay away from too intimate of conversation as I understand how my husband might be hurt by it. The Fear of being Tracked and Embarrassed in a major reason why I will NEVER post any muddy/messy scenes of myself and even the guys I speak with on here probably will never see them (I'm sorry guys).

Honestly I like to hope that the men on here are doing it for the gals but I never delude myself that they are.

One of the attractions of Male Wam for me is that even the guys who post here who have clip stores are still mostly The Real Thing. There's not that much "male modeling" going on.
